Well last year they made Villa play with 16 new players and a pile of young guys in general because of Covid. I actually don't care that they got that postponed, and as I said before I don't know how many cases they have. It was only 3-4 last I saw, and then they have a few guys gone to AFCON (which really shouldn't matter). I'd prefer that they rest up and hammer Arsenal anyway, so it suits me fine.

I don't think Harry Kane has never been as elite as Harry Kane thinks he is...and I say that as a Spurs fan.
Even just in terms of the best Spurs players over the last 15 years, I don't think I would say he was as good as Bale or Modric were at their peak.
He just happened to be the one that stayed longer in Tottenham, and really they probably should have just taken the $150M euros and been happy with that...if that was ever actually on the table.

Well he's a pretty typical flat-track bully. Scores piles of goals against lesser teams like West Ham, Everton, Southampton, Leicester Stoke and notably Arsenal ( ). Internationally he scores against San Marino and that kind of thing.
The finals come along and he disappears. Sure, he's a great penalty-taker and you could bet on him to score from the spot almost assuredly. But from open play? That's another story.

Different governing bodies. That was the FA, today was the EFL. Liverpool's first team squad and developmental squad don't train together so theoretically they too may have to field the youngsters in the FA Cup this weekend.

Coutinho to Villa confirmed till end of season with option to buy. It’s surreal, I saw a post yesterday saying when Coutinho signed with Barca 4 years ago Villa was losing to Peterborough 3-1, now we are attractive enough to have a calibre of player like him join for the rest of the year.

He's obviously not the same player as he was at that point, but it's a good addition for Villa.

Who knows really. The guy has been homeless since leaving Liverpool.
I understand that he wants game time because he wants to play for Brazil at the world cup so at least Villa will be getting a motivated Coutinho.

I think he’s a player that thrives on confidence and he hasn’t had any for the past 3 years, hopefully being the guy at Villa and having former teammate in Gerrard at the helm will reignite his confidence, he is only 29, not like he’s a washed up veteran one stop away from MLS

Pretty fun weekend as the FA Cup at this point features the PL clubs and still a lot of lower league teams. I put together a list of the PL teams, and wondered if anyone wants to speculate on which giant killings we could see this year...just for entertainment:
Burnley v. Huddersfield Town
Millwall v. Crystal Palace
Leicester City v. Watford
Newcastle United v. Cambridge Utd
Port Vale v. Brentford
West Bromwich v. Brighton and Hove Albion
Chelsea v. Chesterfield
Hull City v. Everton
Tottenham v. Morecambe
Charlton Athletic v. Norwich City
Liverpool v. Shrewsbury Town
Wolverhampton v. Sheffield United
West Ham United v. Leeds United
Nottingham Forest v. Arsenal
Manchester United v. Aston Villa
I'll just take a pure stab and say that Port Vale or Charlton could pull off the upset. I mean we'll all be cheering for Nottingham Forest and Richie Laryea, but that goes without saying!

Should have put some money on Cambridge straight up, didn't realize they were 12/1 dogs.

Haha, that’s amazing. Couldn’t happen to a better team. I guess they can focus on the league now?

Love the FA Cup! Hopefully some Premier League teams get embarrassed and some lower league teams make some noise.

Newcastle (0-1 against Cambridge, looool) and Burnley (1-2 against Huddersfield) are already out. Palace and Everton were down against Millwall and Hull, but were able to turn it around, sadly.
biggest upset apart from Cambridge probably goes to non-league club Kidderminster Harriers, who have beaten Championship side Reading 2-1.

There's nothing sad about Millwall losing. Ever. It's like all the miscreants who find Rangers and Leeds too softcore and tolerant got together and formed a club.
Man i took some time and watched all the highlights from today's games, wow was that ever a great round. Fa puts up all the highlights on youtube and there were some awesome games, too bad Barrow lost in the end was all. Now we just need some of the big boys to get knocked out or get drawn against each other in round 4/5 to create some hope and real drama down the stretch for a darkhorse winner.
Hope Laryea plays tomorrow for Forest that could be a fun watch in particular, just wish it was all on DAZN too.
