Nope, what a surprise.
Even the refs hate calling the instigator because it carries the 10 minute misconduct. So instead you get the imaginary roughing minor.

This has been quite a defensive battle so far. Tampa have had the puck more, but the Flames haven't given them much and Vladar has been sharp. Our passing seems a bit off, but we're hanging in there.

Terrible call, I disagree that it's "technically right".
The puck hitting a player's glove isn't the same thing as the gloved pass off a faceoff.
