Florida is without question a better team and they are making Calgary look pretty bad tonight

Not likely to see a big trade, hopefully one or both does

Backlund tends to have strong 2nd halfs so I can see that. Monahan is going to be a buyout come the offseason, he is done.

Yeah, I think he got worse as they went along. Too much relentless pressure. Bob has 44 shots against but nowhere near the quality in close IMO.

Playing against one of the elite teams in the entire league, the best team on home ice. Needed to play pretty much flawlessly to win, that's a tall order.
Florida is just really good. Not the end of the world. The Flames still have a very good team and will learn from this one. Not the end of the world.

The worse goalie is losing tonight, and same for the team. You'd think Monahan would be able to light up a 4th line but here we are

He looks tired. I think a night off in Tampa would help him.

Florida's pp is 22nd.
Ours is statistically way better.
But on this night yeah.

Calgary a bit unlucky to come out of the first period down by a goal, but completed dominated since then.
No question who the better team was tonight, and it wasn’t the Flames.

I agree. And TB is the lesser team compared to Fla right now, especially with the injuries.

Can't even really be mad. Florida is just a better team right now.

Yup agreed completely. This was a good game to see how the Flames stack up and they showed that they are not as good as Florida but are close despite the current score given score effects. Come back strong vs Tampa, can't win them all

Same with goaltending. Florida is just godly at home.
However, I think tonight shows how poor the Flames' depth upfront is. Absolutely could not level with Florida's bottom 6
