Yikes, Panthers ran our show for pretty much the entire period.

Zadorov left his guy, but Gudbranson was also not covering the guy Zadorov went to. Brutal D by both of them.

Guys that are used to scoring don't look like they've won the lottery when they do it.
They save it for when they secure the win.

He’s never scored against the Flames before now. In fact, I don’t think he ever played the Flames before tonight.

Pitlick is this years "what would you say you do around here?" Meme guy.
I've pi ked 3 forwards I wished the Flames could upgrade. Pitlick, Ritchie/Richardson and sadly, Dube.

Really solid game so far. Panthers started to tilt the ice a bit in the second but the Flames hung on. Really too bad Lomberg scored at the end as a 1 goal deficit would have been much easier to come back from. Need a dominant finish to the this game

Very entertaining game so far, despite the score.
Florida has a clear advantage in speed/skill especially in the middle of their lineup. Outside of the top line and Backlund-Coleman, our puck movement has been a step too slow and we're getting eaten alive by turnovers.
A PP would be nice to turn things around, and in a physical game like that it'd be great for Lucic to make an appearance.

Lomberg had 4 career NHL goals coming in to tonight's game.
Guy should celebrate like it's his last every chance he gets. Especially when it's an insurance goal.
If they were losing by 5 and he celebrated like that, then I'd have an issue with it.

Remember last year when he scored in OT versus TB and they asked him whether it was his biggest goal ever? He said “well, I’ve only ever had one other, so yeah”.

Have to call this one over at this point. Flames are a decent team but not a comeback team. Clearly not in the same category as the big boys yet.
