Backlund will actually make contact with an opposing player and is ok defensively. Monahan is just doing a whole lot of nothing. I have never seen a player look do scared to engage in contact, is he scared he will break again?

I mean, yeah, but this is a game of 2 of the top teams in the league and it's pretty well even. The flames could also use a Matthews, prime Lemieux and a couple of Lidstroms but let's not allow good to be the enemy of perfect.
