Ruzicka moved to Taxi Squad

OK, so I guess waiver exempt players can be on the taxi squad. I didn't realize that. Can taxi squad players still practice with the main team?

If I wanted to over analyze this, would this be a vote of confidence for Ruzicka instead of sending him down to Stockton and calling up an older player like Gawdin?

It’s strange because the rules seem pretty clear that waiver exempt players are not eligible. Though I have no idea why that rule is in place. It was stated as to ensure the squad was not used for cap circumvention but all waiver exempt players are fully buriable anyway.

Froese was practicing with the main squad, so I imagine Ruzicka will as well.

A bit of a departure from last year's taxi squad. This seems more like extra healthy scratches.

Last year the taxi squad was like having regular season black aces. Which meant more work especially for the assistant coaches and training staff running extra practises.
