pretty fitting Roethlisbergers final game at Heinz Field comes against the Browns, a team he's completely owned during his career. 25-3-1 against them all-time, the 25 wins being the fourth most of a QB against a specific team ... also had the most wins at Clevelands stadium until Baker finally broke that last season lol.
the game itself is pretty meaningless, the playoffs are a longshot and they'd get embarrassed there anyway. But would still be nice to win this one.

If he's ready, they'll get him a bit of game action just to shake off any potential rust. They'll have to play a bit to secure the top seed, and the Texans won't roll over and die for them. They'll be a bit of a pain to knock off in this game. Even yesterday they lost be a fair bit, but they were up at the end of the half.
The AFC is more open than I can remember in recent years. The reason I would be excited if I was a Titans fan is because of how that defence has played for the most part. I like the chances of a tough physical team to be able to beat up on finesse teams like the Chiefs, Chargers, and Bengals. If those teams can't throw for 350 yards and play an offence that is competent, they tend to struggle. The Patriots and Colts are a bit too one dimensional to be favored over the Titans. The Raiders who knows with them on any given day what they're going to do. So that leaves the Bills as the only team that might match their physicality, but offer a multi-dimensioned offense.

I don't trust Allen in the playoffs. What a weird line yesterday. 11/26 120 0/3 but ran for two TDs

Who is there to trust in the AFC from a QB perspective? Not Tannehill or Wentz for sure. Burrow, Jones, Herbert/Carr have never played a playoff game, so who knows about them. So pretty much by default Allen and Mahomes are the two best QBs in the AFC playoffs, but Mahomes is having a "bad" year and Allen has been much more inconsistent this year, although he still offers a high end only Mahomes can match or beat.
But I guess that's it, it's not about who you trust more than it's about who will get hot. In that sense Burrow is obviously the hottest player in the league right now, if he keeps this up they will be a tough out.

I think matchups, health, and weather can come into play too. Yesterday was a pretty nice day in Cincinnati for this time of year relatively speaking. Can you throw for 450 yards if it's ice bowl conditions? You might not need that much, but it's tougher to do that if it's cold and windy than if it's nice weather. So what will the weather in KC, Buffalo, Cincinnati or Nashville be like on these given days?
Burrow and Herbert would seem to have the physical attributes to play in any weather. One thing that Burrow does have is that N.C experience, and despite being a second year player, he's not some bright eyed kid as he's only 1 year younger than Mahomes who's going into his 4th playoffs.
Josh Allen didn't have a great line yesterday, but the weather was more of a factor in that game and he still found a way to get points on the board for him team.
The fact that these guys are all looking to need to win 3 games to get to the Superbowl makes it even more random.

The thing is the Titans don't ask as much of Tannehill as the Chiefs or Bills ask Mahomes or Allen. Their ball distribution in their first playoff game will probably be Henry 25 carries, Foreman 5-10 and Tannehill throw 20 times with alot of play action in there. It's a formula that worked two years ago on the road against the Patriots and Ravens.
With Henry back teams need to pick their poison. When they played the Chiefs earlier this year, the Chiefs sold out hard to stop Henry (which they did, holding him to under 90 yards). But then Brown went off for 8 catches and over 130 yards.
There are no easy games in the playoffs, everyone in the AFC has a shot to make the Superbowl IMO.

Hopefully there's a play tonight where they can throw in a "Ben, as always, doesn't take no for an answer!" to at least tacitly bring up the rape part of his career.

I mean credit to the defenses, they are good, but we're 20 minutes into an NFL game in 2022 and we have our QBs at a combined 13/28 for 65 yards. Yeesh.

Regardless of who looks worse, that was one of the most appalling halves of QB play you will ever see. Ben has 34 pass attempts, not even 100 yards, and he's the "good" QB that half.

I can't remember ever seeing an entire half of football where one QB was averaging 3.9 yards per pass and the other 2.8. Ben is on pace for 68 attempted passes for under 200 yards.

May I suggest watching some NY Giants games?

Glennon and Jake Fromm are at least backups, these are both of these teams starters. I get that Ben is washed, Baker is hurt, good defenses etc...but it's also abysmal play calling, gotta be at least 60% of these passes within two yards of the LOS or behind it.

How many WR screen passes has Ben thrown for a loss or no gain? Not sure why the Browns aren't using Chubb more. I tend to agree the play calling is terrible in this one.

We've been asking this for weeks, especially last week's loss to Green Bay

Is Baker hurt? If he's hurt why is he playing. He might just be bad.

There you go, 1st and 20 down 6, you can run it. You don't have to throw 3 incomplete passes.
