This was immediately following Johnny's late goal to push it to 5-1.

The over/under was 5.5 so my guess is that he bet the under

And how is having a Connor McDavid working out for the Oilers?

The Flames are essentially scoring through 4 guys this season. It's not a very large committee. And I earnestly hope it grows soon because they'll need it.

Of course Flames walk the pathetic Hawks. The good news is Flames schedule starts to get much tougher now in January. Hopefully those good teams will play Flames as hard as they have typically played us. Carolina played us like it was a Stanley Cup game. Will piss me off if they take games off against Calgary.
from ATL Report

I was wondering what those grease balls would cone up with next. Its that teams decide to not play us as hard as the Oilers.

Like every team sees a team at the top of conference and says, “Hey guys we could measure ourselves tonight, but nah lets save it for the bubble team”

Can’t get any more moronic could they?

The funny thing is, they’ve totally losing the ability to even whine any more. That was one of the only comments about the game.

Also, that poster didn’t even seem to realize the Flames played Carolina on the latter’s same road trip.

Ten years ago Chicago was dominating the Flames. It’s good to see some payback.

Great game for the flames. A textbook road win. As far as the blackhawks, I think virtually every fan base would gladly go through the rough time they are having now in exchange for the success their team had for years. I suppose the signing of Jones is very self-inflicted but they are definitely due to have some really bad contracts stick with them after getting out of hossa’s contract so easily and pioneering some of the cap circumvention tricks we see in the league today.

I longed for payback on Chicago and Vancouver in that 2008-2014 era.

And Anaheim of course.

We've pounded those teams a number of times over the last few seasons. But I feel we owe them another couple years of it to truly even the scales for that awful period of time.

I don't like the idea of the Ducks getting good again so soon. We need to annihilate them least another dozen times for my bloodlust on that team to be anywhere near satisfied.

I hate Getzlaf and their ugly orange jerseys and dumb horn and Honda.

The other day I saw some Oiler fan crediting Gulutzan for their ridiculous power play instead of McDrai. The same genius Gulutzan that rolled out the Brouwer Play for two straight years.

God I would love for Gulutzan to take over as HC there. He'd probably put Tyler Benson on the 1st PP.

Spoiler!

What a dominating win from start to finish. Solid road win. Flames have quite a few games on hand against much of the league, so good to see them making the most of it.

Kudos to the Flames organization for how they handled the team's recent outbreak. Good insight from Cassie near the end about how 50 people infected sounds like a lot, but the team handled it as best as they could including all staff and their families. Top notch work by the entire organization. Could have easily been worse but they really stepped up to contain it.
