The Seattle Root sports broadcast is fantastic, way better than any Cassie antics.
They have a high-energy English expat announcer (came from Seattle FC) and the intermission featured analysis of Zadorov to Johnny with high danger chance graphics and statistics.

Cassie isn't on tonight. I guess it's Sportsnet's Xmas present to us.

It should be. All four lines should be fast and more than capable of scoring. This isn't 1997.
It is when the playoffs start.
Your mentality is why Calgary gets dusted if they make the playoffs. Now? Sutter is building a team that can compete in the playoffs. Hitting matters. A lot. It’s about puck possession, wearing down opponents, it’s hugely important. Actually it’s one of the main reasons I think Calgary’s struggled over recent years. No tenacity, lack of hitting, refusing to stand up for each other. Playing with pace was obviously huge, but don’t kid yourself, hitting matters and some 4th line high octane prospect kids are not going to fill that role very well.
Hitting might not have an effect on the game at that very moment, but wearing down opponents, bruising them up, creating/renewing nagging injuries, etc... all has a big effect as the game wears on. ESPECIALLY in a Playoff series.
