Thank you for your continued support. The National Hockey League announced today the postponement of Calgary Flames game on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 vs. the Edmonton Oilers.
The postponed game will be rescheduled to a future date. Accounts will be communicated with next week regarding their specific ticket situation.
We will continue to keep you up-to-date on any schedule changes as they develop, including the rescheduled dates and times of postponed games. We will also update our schedule online.

I got the same email. I guess that's our first clue that STH will get to go to the postponed game at 50% capacity.

buys Vladar, the last player to test positive, 3 days since the next scheduled Flames game is the 30th
it is a cross border game in Seattle, so I wonder if they keep that one on the schedule?
Vladar first tested positive on the 20th, so the 10 day quarantine will be up in time for the 30th if he is asymptomatic, but with no practice time

Maybe a chance they could play it the 28th?
But the Oilers play on 29th in StL and Calgary, Seattle the 30th. A chance that maybe cross border games are still postponed. That said, the Oilers trip to the US has them away until Jan 8 so it's less likely they'd cancel all those.
Flames of course play here vs Jets Dec 31 here before going for 4 games south themselves.
My guess is too much logistics for too many teams, some of who would have to be flying out Sunday to play OOT Monday.

Look at the time on Nammer’s email. It came at 1:07; the STH email that homestand received didn’t come until 4:28 (at least that’s when I received it), shortly after the NHL announced that games on the 27th were cancelled.
It doesn’t guarantee what will happen to tickets for that game but there would be no need to “void” all tickets if the game itself was going to be postponed. That didn’t happen until after Nammer’s email was sent.

Pure speculation, but based on the data from South Africa, the Omicron wave should peak here within the next two weeks (!) followed by a rapid decline in cases. Given that timeframe, I expect cross-border games will be delayed until mid-January-ish. Expect the BoA to be resheduled sooner rather than later.

Based on my Yahoo Sports App and the Flames offical site, the Flames game against the Krakken on December 30th is still on. After the post poned game tonight, it looks to be back to business for a lot of the NHL tomorrow.

I also haven't heard anything from the Flames regarding my tickets; and I was also told the 24th. I am guessing they are waiting to make sure the league resumes tomorrow, and will update us at that point.

Thanks! So seems like as each game approaches we will get information. Hopefully they’ll have a bigger update soon regarding the whole 50% capacity and who is allowed to go to what game.

I just got this email:
Quote:
Dear Fan
Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through the latest challenges of hosting Flames games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. We encourage you to please take the time to carefully read the important information below.
On Dec. 24 in response to the requirement for venues to operate at 50% capacity in the province of Alberta, we had to fully revert the Dec. 27 game in our system.
Please be advised that there has been no impact to your tickets for the Dec. 27 game.
December 27 Postponement
In the afternoon on Dec. 24, the NHL announced the postponement of the Dec. 27 game after we had taken the necessary steps to reduce capacity by cancelling the game.
As a result of this decision, the Dec. 27 game will be rescheduled for a future date. We will communicate more regarding your specific ticketing situation once the Dec. 27 game has been rescheduled.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience.

It may be they are honouring tickets on a case by case basis. If they had more the 50% STH I don't see how they do it other than randomly.

Interestingly I got a different email:

If you have already transferred tickets these tickets will no longer be valid and will need to be re-transferred when the game is rescheduled.
If you received transferred tickets these tickets are no longer valid.
If you purchased retail, verified resale, or additional tickets your tickets have been returned and will be refunded within 30 days. You will get priority access to re-purchase tickets prior to the general public.
December 27 Postponement – Your Priority Access
In the afternoon on Dec. 24, the NHL announced the postponement of the Dec. 27 game after we had taken the necessary steps to reduce capacity by cancelling the game.
As a result of this decision, the Dec. 27 game will be rescheduled for a future date. Because of the timing challenges and how your tickets were returned, you will be given priority access to re-purchase tickets for the rescheduled game before they go on sale to the general public.
We will communicate details on your priority access to you in the future once the Dec. 27 game has been rescheduled.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience."

I got the first email that smartcar did. Interestingly, I had sold the Dec 27 tickets through TicketExchange fir December 27.
So does the new buyer lose them like Blankcanvas' email says? Or are they considered the original owner since they purchased through TicketExchange?

Good question. I had transferred my season tickets to my buddy who I share them with but also purchased some extra through one of the Flames Christmas Promotions. I'm sure it will all sort itself out in the end once they re-schedule the game probably during what was to be the Olympic break?
In the meantime, has anybody heard any news on Friday's game vs Winnipeg? Is it going ahead? Which tickets will still be valid at 50% capacity?
EDIT: Just noticed my tickets for Friday have disappeared from my Season Ticket Holder Account so I guess I'm not going!

This prompted me to check as well - gone too.
No explanation of how it is being handled, just vanished tickets. Thanks, CSEC.
