Yep. Players make money off that tournament. I get the appeal of wanting an Olympic medal. But you know what you can buy with the money from the tournament? Someone else's medal on eBay.
Seriously though, make the World Cup mean more to the players and to the hockey community than the Olympics. People want best on best. The NHL has the power to deliver that to everyone's benefit.

They just had the HHOF game in Toronto...send those guys! Their skates are still sharp!
