That was something else, happy to hear he recovered. Can't imagine making that call to my wife.

I had heard about this in the summer, but obviously didn't feel right about posting about it. Scary, to say the least and I'm glad he pulled through and is back on the mend.

They also emphasized the family aspect too. Like how tough would that have been for the wife and kids. 30 sec9nd phone cal that could be the last ? And then the updates during the coma period and how touch and go it all was?
Like what kind of mind f*** of a couple of weeks would that have been as the SO's of a covid patient.
That was a great interview with Krahn about 1st hand experience with this crap.

Glad he pulled through. Had a co-worker go through something similar in April, and is just getting back to work.

It’s been the talk of downtown for awhile. But you can guess his status.

Unfortunate. Even at his age he would have, at the very least, been eligible for one shot. More likely he could have got both. Under 18's even had at least one shot by then.
I'd assume even one shot could have spared him the near death experience.

Maybe they discussed it last week and I missed it, but does anybody know why there was no morning show this morning? I tuned in around 8:00am and it was CBS radio.

Boomer mentioned he was taking the week off so I guess they all did?
Edit - Afternoon guys are on now. So the station isn't entirely dark this week I guess

No idea. I don't recall. I know Pinder was sick late last week.

And he didn't take the opportunity during his interview to let the masses know, that in his hindsight, being vaccinated would have been preferable?
Missed opportunity to help others.

Morning show are all off this week for sure and I believe until January. Last year Rob Kerr filled in most of these two weeks. I guess they just plan on going with CBS until 10:00. Funny though, Francis put out a tweet about his guests he had lined up for this mornings 9:00 show, there was no 9:00 show.

I find this odd. Take a few days off around Christmas for sure, Dec 24-26. But why wouldn’t they take all their holidays in the summer so they can be active while the team is active (hypothetically active lol). Kind of just part of the job IMO.

Feel like every workplace in the world has seen a back log of vacation time that people just haven't used due to the pandemic.
I know at my workplace it's more of a ghost town this week than it usually is.

I would bet that ratings drop a ton over Christmas. Most people listen to the radio in their cars, and work traffic drops a fair bit over the Christmas holidays

I have no doubt the ratings are awful, but selfishly I miss the banter the day or two before Christmas. The stories, the dumb songs or games etc. Oh well.
