In todays' world, it does seem like people just drive by without checking in. I do understand that on a hiway in the dark...the safest place is to stay in the vehicle. But that also assumes that the occupant has a charged phone to call for help.
I had a situation last night where a vehicle that was 2 cars in front of me left a stop sign at a Tee style intersection to make a left turn thinking the vehicle on the thru road was going to make a right hand turn off the thru road. Well the oncoming vehicle started to slide as this car went into the intersection. They avoided the collision but the oncoming car nearly hit the turning vehicle plus the other one in front of me at the stop sign...just kept going. The lady who left a bit early to make the turn got stuck in a snow bank. I pulled over, but had to wait a bit for other vehicles to pass by to see if the car in front of me was going to be able to get free. Very minor situation inside a city, but sort of surprised me that no one else even thought to stop. Good reminder though that I need to put a shovel in the back of my truck though. I seem to use it at least once a year to help get someone free from a snow bank.
Good on Glencross for stopping to check in, and quite the co-incidence that they ran into each other a week later.

Played as a sub for a beer-league team last Christmas with a couple buddies and he was on the opposing team. Definitely took it easy on us and was trying to make his teammates look 10x better than they were. Just had a great, laid-back time on the ice while the rest of us were going 100% and still dominated lol
At the end of the game, he was kind enough to take a number of photos with my buddies and I.
My dad delivered a tractor to Glenny's place...most rich people just sit on their asses while he unloads it himself but Glencross was in there like a dirty shirt helping and even came out with a shovel to manually shovel some spots where the truck might get stuck in his massive driveway.
Oilers cast him off, as they do many quality players and people, like garbage.
Funny enough, my early memory of Glencross was scoring two again the Flames in a late season game and not liking that. Though I recall he scored a few as a BJ too.
But that game was then won by Nolan, the Flames officially and deliciously booting the Oilers out of the playoffs with that win.

And then, now on the proper side of the ice, the hat trick to just pile on his former team when it was already 5-1.
