Why deal with pampered spoiled millionaire athetes.
Did he say he was retiring? I think he could easily get a different coaching job, maybe on a team in a much better location.

I hope he goes to whatever team plays the Oilers in the first round. He definitely has a system for sweeping them.

I think he is a good coach, but his tenure ran its course. It happens to even good coaches.

I still think he is a little nuts though, like when he was convinced that Tkachuk purposely cut Scheifele with his skate. I think his own players were probably eye rolling about that.

May be that team can hire him as consultant

I can't believe people are still butt hurt about the Matthew Tkachuk thing. Hell our guy was the one hurt and I haven't thought about it until today reading this.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a negotiated financial settlement involved.

Some people are incapable of doing so.

Maurice vilified a 20 year old kid. That's not gamesmanship imo. He's a dick

Sutter is a 2x champ and he would never have "i'm a good coach" in a resignation statement.

Yeah, I don't get all the love Paul Maurice is getting on here and Twitter. Agreed with other posters the guy always seems full of himself. "I'm a good coach" Lol

Yep, I lost all respect I ever had for him after that. Even if he thought the hit was questionable he could have worded it better without looking like a complete ######.

Thing is it wasn't even questionable and he lied about non existent camera angles.

NHL never even looked at it, barely a hit at all really

Oh, I agree. It was pretty ridiculous for any member of the Jets and their fans to suggest it was deliberate but even if he didn't like the hit he could have worded it better instead of embarrassing himself.
