I am an NHL fan and don't even care about the Olympics. They shouldn't even be going on as long as we have new variants of COVID spreading and especially in China of all places. I'm only worried about the NHL's ability to get through the schedule as every hour it seems more and more players are being added to COVID lists. Barzal is the latest.

Maybe I'm being a bit oblivious or obtuse (sorry), but I feel like they'd need a few more days like today before the league considers closing down early and by that point its the Christmas break anyway.

Another Round like this and the NHL will postpone and NHLPA will agree to skip Olympics without Penalty.

Seeing how easy it is to catch without a living in a athletes village, Imagine facing 3-5 Weeks in China after already being there to compete or not for 1-2 weeks prior. They'll lock them up for Espionage after winning Gold taking it away from the Chinese National Team.

Definitely concerning that we appear to be right in the middle of a multi-team outbreak (including Carolina, Boston, and Vancouver). All teams that have played each other recently -- seems like it may only be a matter of time before Edmonton joins the list.
