The Flames had been doing pretty good with COVID but it is what it is.

On Dec 1, 23 of 32 teams had a least one player in Covid protocol during the season to that point. It was bound to hit the Flames eventually

Correct me if I am wrong but you could go into covid protocol even if you are not covid positive. If you show up as a contact trace, you still go into protocol correct?

Brutal. Hope that all involved (Players, Staff, Families, etc) all recover safely and quickly!
With those games against Ottawa and Islanders when they were going through their outbreaks, this just feels kind of inevitable. Somewhat hope it is unrelated to those games.

I presume it depends on vaccination status. Or else entire team would be in protocol.
