Markstrom is the biggest reason that the Flames are contending for the division lead.

He is, but no reason he needs to play 65 games this year. The team has a legit #2. Use him.

It's been a tale of two seasons:

Markstrom on the road has been lights out incredible

Markstrom at home has been the second best goalie on the ice by a wide margin in 90% of the games

Hopefully a little game management gets the Flames back in the game

Well, should have had it in the first shot. But he didn’t have a chance to cover it once he dropped it. He made a quick play to ditch it to the corner before the tap in, but it unfortunately ends up right on the guys tape.

Think I would try Kylington on PP 1 over Rasmus.

and that #2 was garbage last game, it made sense to start Markstrom tonight. It’s not a strong game for Marky but for all the effort the Flames have put in tonight, they’ve accomplished nothing. Bad defensive coverage, and a horrific inability to finish plays offensively is the story tonight and that’s been a trend recently.

Vladar is going to get atleast a start every second week for the rest of the month. It's not like Sutter has been sitting him for a month. He didn't have to play him on Tuesday either but he did.

I'm just stating the truth. The numbers 100% back me up.

The Flames have played incredible at home all season but aren't getting the goaltending.

Markstrom has been absolutely incredible on the road but is well below average at home

I'm talking in aggregate. If it came across as suggesting Vladar got the start tonight, I apologize.

Flames have a 63.3% xGF on home ice, 1st in the NHL.

But are shooting 7.48% (27th) and a .905 save percentage (20th)

No puck luck in the Saddledome so far this year.

Only caught chunks of the game, but between Dube and Mangiapane just being a step off in their shots, and Zadorov being alone in the slot but dumping the puck to the corner, this could be a much different looking game.

Boys need to stop trying to absolutely blast it on net and instead throw some softer shots low on net and look for rebounds

“Fire” by Barns Courtney would make a fire goal song.

Don’t know who needs to hear TNT ever again…

One of those nights when Zadorov is your best player.
