Connor Mackey named AHL Player of the Week

Can we call up this kid if we're not ready to give Juuso his shot?

I liked him in the preseason.

I think Mackey is a sure-fire NHLer, and I think he could easily ride shotgun on some teams second pairing. He displays good puck movement, but he has size and some snarl too.

He's Adam Pardy IMO

Which is not a bad thing.

The Flames top 4 is pretty locked in right now.

He might be a better fit than Zadorov on the 3rd pairing, I would sumbit that the team can wait until later in the season to figure that out. For now, I would much rather see him getting big minutes in Stockton.

The D cupboard looks good right now.
