Default December 8, just four games.

It is the Wednesday Night hockey OOT and the two teams with new head coaches are in action.
The four western conference teams playing are at least seven points back of the Flames.

The Devils had a Bratt score a goal in the second period, 1-0 Devils in their odd looking jerseys.

Coach Yeo's debut is not going well. Mercer on a deflection from Smith, 2-0 New Jersey and it is a power play goal.

The Avalanche have taken control of the game in the second period with five straight goals 6-2 Colorado! The Rangers have smothered by an Avalanche.

Trouba laid Mackinnon out with a similar hit to Khaira. Mackinnon got caught lookin at his ###### and Trouba laid him out. Beautiful open ice hit.

This is twice that Trouba could have hit shoulder to body or shoulder to shoulder and had the effect of separating the player from the puck. Khaira was lower, and a lot of benefit of the doubt was sent Trouba's way, but he had time to line MacKinnon up, and chose to hit him square in the jaw.

Boudreau doesn't mess around. The ice-times were all very balanced last night compared to what they have been. Canuck players learning what it means to be accountable, and players that were marginalized in the last regime might see a second chance at life. The only player with high ice time compared to the team yesterday was Hughes.

I've seen some people on twitter say he's hurt, some say healthy scratch. Injury makes more sense. At least I hope so for his sake.

Hate to see that hit by Trouba. Sickening

MacKinnon was just concussed earlier this year, (~March?) vs SJ if I recall correctly

The Canucks cannot score on the power play, scoreless tie after twenty minutes and the shots are 8-8.

The Devils win 3-0. Yeo is an interim coach.

Did he really get him in the jaw? I only saw the video once but the one angle it looks like he gets him high in the chest with his shoulder.

Canucks catch a break with an offside review after Haula made Demko look foolish on a breakaway.

I see shoulder to head, first, and then the arm following through the chest (that arm through the chest is something Iggy used to do to guys)
