I wonder if Jack Eichel is a big partier.

Do the Oilers have a system, or is it just "give the puck to McDavid"? That can be a harder 'system' to shut down unfortunately.

Vegas played with the "pace" Sutter talks about. The Flames couldn't match it. Hopefully, because they were tired.

Interesting timing. Clearly saw first-hand who the best Swedish goalie in the world is.

I think the players know how to get to the strip, even if it’s not close to their practice rink. I imagine that location has everything to do with convenience just like the Rangers don’t practice in Manhattan. No one wants to be driving to the strip for daytime practice.

True.

It is probably hard to scout. There is no systematic method to their game. They just kind of ...do stuff, then wait for McDavid to pick someone's pocket in the neutral zone or throw himself on the ice for a penalty.

Really playing some 4D chess on the opposing video coaches. Gotta give it to them.

Lines 2-4 are responsible for not getting scored on, and to insulate McDavid from playing all 60 minutes. That's it.

Cutting-edge stuff.

Wonder how Derek Ryan feels about leaving a team and joining McDavid's personal fluffer squad. Makes sense that he's trying to throw games now.

Yeah but Flames made it very easy. Hanifin and Lindholm despite his lucky goal were very bad. Top line was asleep all night long and were scared to make contact with a Knights player.

Flames weren't expected to win every game this trip but would have liked to see a better effort from the top guys.

0-7-0 in Vegas man. I hate having to live with that for a few more months or worse, years.

Makes us wonder, how will this curse end, bring Jobu?

Apparently you need Mike Smith in net if we're looking at how we slayed the Anaheim demon.

Lehner wins the battle but will Markstrom win the war for Sweden starter at the Olympics?

It's not a curse just guys not being prepared and having a bit too much fun partying I think.

Also they are probably tired. They've played a lot of road games and this was their 3rd in 4 nights in a tough building.

Flames made a tonne of mistakes and only lost by 1. I think we can play a lot better and the effort has been there all season even against Pittsburgh we played hard but they played harder.

This is literally only game of the year where I would question their effort so I think that's a positive more than a quarter way into the season.

Markstrom was the starter anyway even if Lehner was there

Markstrom is the better goalie. And as far as tonight goes, Lehner had a much, much easier night as far as volume of high quality chances he had to deal with.
