troutman surges to 3rd! I picked Winthrop. New Mexico St and Illinois are also looking good as upset picks for me. I got Ga Tech wrong - had them going to the sweet 16.

All of my sweet 16 picks are through the opening round, (pending Florida's victory). I don't think I've ever had that happen before. But man, picking #10 seeds was a big mistake for me... I'd be 26 of 28 if it wasn't for picking #10 seeds.

Are you sure about that? I read it as being up 74 spots to 4580 overall. Still impressive.

You're probably right...I might have jumped the gun. Still impressive, as you say!

I'll bet you had Creighton. So did I, to the sweet 16. I got nervous about that and when I did my office bracket 2 nights ago I took Nevada to the sweet 16. No idea why I didn't change it on ours!

Kinda amazing that nobody ranked as a fifth-seed or better got upset in the opening round: two #6 seeds and three #8 seeds got knocked off, and that's it.

Props to the commitee, I guess. A good job in seeding. I miss the Cinderellas though.

Damn good first round for me. 25 of 32. And I only lost one sweet 16 team and no Elite 8 teams.

Early game today has been pretty good: Ohio State and Xavier... Ohio leading by four at the half, but Xavier has done a pretty good job of neutralizing Oden.
update: Xavier now up by 6 with ten minutes left.

holy crap: 11 point lead for Xavier with 7 left.

Overtime!! Momentum is with Ohio, but with Oden fouling out, it's a huge opportunity for Xavier. Best game of the tournament so far.

Xavier lost this game with a colossal mistake at the end of regulation. If they had fouled Ohio before they could attempt a three, their worst-case scenario would see them get the ball back up by a point.
