I mean if you were watching the game and not cheering for the Flames then yeah, it would be incredibly boring. You would have nothing to chear for or get excited for since your team would never have the puck.

As a Flames fan it's gloriously entertaining.

I've still got a wee bit of "Flames fan PTSD" so this California/Vegas trip scares the bejesus out of me. Nice to start it off with a big win.

Already lost to Anaheim and SJ at home this year, despite being the better team in both games (IIRC?) so hopefully they boot stomp those teams. And Vegas can go take a long walk off a short pier. God I hate that team beyond comprehension.

So basically I'm hoping for a clean sweep road trip here lol

Flames are doing a good job curing my fandom woes this year, keep it going guys!

I haven't looked at the schedule all the way through, but it feels like the Flames are going to have their major eastern road trips done and the nighmare West Coast swing out of the way before Christmas. The Schedule advantage has to swing hard in the Flames favor after Christmas.

It looks like it's from the 2013 Oscars.

That was the year Seth MacFarlane hosted and he did a song and dance number called "We Saw Your Boobs", where he listed all the movies where big name actresses showed their boobs. The joke there was that Lawrence hadn't shown hers so she celebrated, while most of the other people they cut away to looked offended by it.

Of course, all of the reactions were pre-recorded and all of the "offended" actresses were in on the joke. That's why, even though it's the Oscars, none of the people sitting around her are recognizable -- and she's wearing a completely different dress than she wore to the actual ceremony.

Yeah pretty sure they only have left their Florida swing really, and that’s early January.

Didn't see this anywhere. But wouldn't surprise me.

SN pumping out more misinformation than the Trump administration for their darlings.

Anyone who posted about Rasmus or Hanifin being bad can GTFO. Y'all are anhedonic. I can excuse little "not a great game from x" posts, but pulling out #### like "he has regressed"? That's is our #1 pair this year, in one of the best flames seasons of all time. So (dis)respectfully, fully shut the #### up. Your opinions are literally dog####.

I wasn't able to watch this one at all but glad to see a solid flames win.
I adore that Oilers fan salt. So delusional, so salty. If it was an ice cream flavor i would get it exclusively. MMMMMMmmmm. I rarely post on HF anymore and they still get mad about it.

They'll be doing the west coast swing multiple times over the year.

But yeah, all those Seattle, Vancouver, Arizona games will be coming up after Christmas.

The first game of the season is the ONLY game of the season in which we haven’t been at least tied at some point during the third period.

We have obviously led for the whole third period many times, but we have played 22 straight games in which we have not trailed for the entire third period.

Agreed. Staples Center is a hell of an arena. Saw the Flames get buttslapped there a long time ago, but it was still fun. Go Flams!

"Toughest schedule," yet they have played Calgary just once, after the Flames had been sitting for 8 days and were playing their first regular season game. And how many back to backs have the Greasers had to play so far? And how many road games? And how much travel to the East?

Let's see what their record looks like after some more games between the Alberta rivals, especially ones in which the schedule makers have not built in an unfair advantage for the Greasers.

I think fans are the worst at evaluating dmen. We just don't know what we are talking about.
Myself included.
But I think there are more bad takes about dmen than any other position.

Too much focus on offence, when that's not their job. too much focus on what happened when a goal was scored rather than the other 99% of the time. Every goal involves some sort of failure.

Flames are a known quantity now. No team is starting the game surprised at how they play.

We are watching teams playing their best against the Flames. The coach is telling the goalie to prepare to be peppered with shots.

And despite that, the Flames are still winning. And they're winning in different ways.

Enjoy it folks. Truly good teams only come around once in a while.

Offense is everyone's job besides the goalie, just as defense and checking are everyone's job besides Draisaitl.

There's always one or two memorable lines from the ATL. The Tanev-Hughes-Smokes one still kills me.

I think this one will become a classic:
