Reading the interviews around his firing from LA, he wasn't too happy with the way things played out, and apparently there was attempts by some in management/ownership to get rid of him a couple year earlier.
When Darryl joined the Flames, he mentioned the 04 Cup run, so this is a man with a long memory that will hold a grudge.
LA has trended down since the firing. This is absolutely a statement game for Darryl and he'll have the boys fired up. To really stick it to the ownership and management of LA, in his first game against them as coach of his new team, to show how far ahead they are than the Kings.
7-1 Flames.

2:30pm Friday afternoon start time here. I'll have it on while winding down from work!
I'll say 4-1 Flames.

As for tonight one of the rare games I will be watching on TV live due to the late start time. Hoping for a big reception for Darryl and a beat down by the Flames.
Vlader should play tonight

If you make it down to Anaslime, you'll have lots of seats to choose from. Plus, the fans arrive late and leave early.

Yep honestly best opposition rink I've been in. Very friendly fans. Much friendlier than any rink I've been in. Fans are very chatty and talkative and like asking about Canada and how cold it is. It was actually warmer in Calgary at the time I was there haha

Also the best arena in North America IMO.
Yardhouse just outside the rink is a good place for a not over-priced pub fare and about a thousand beers on tap.
But since you are a child, there's a McDonald's nearby too

This is so true.... BC you would get 10am NFL Sunday games & 4pm NHL/NBA games on weekdays... East you would get 10, 1030pm starting times for certain games and the norm would be 820 for nfl primetime games

Try Reykjavik time.
I thought there’d only be a 6 hour time difference with Calgary.
But nope, it’s the same time as London and the game is in California.

You better leave for the arena 5 hours early before rush hour.

GOAT!

I still can't get over how we started the season a week later than everyone else, and tonight will only be our third game in the last ten days... yet after the game is done we'll STILL have played two more games than Edmonton has.
In addition, the New York Islanders spent the first six weeks of their season on the road because their new arena wasn't ready yet, but not only have we already played just as many road games as they have, we're starting a whole new four-game road trip tonight.
I'm not one for conspiracies and the like, but it really does feel like someone doesn't like us very much at head office.
When this road trip is done, we'll have played 17 of our first 26 games on the road -- and we weren't waiting for a new arena to open or anything like that. The league just decided to ratify a schedule that had a 9 home - 17 road split for us without any reason for it.
