I'm going to go out on a limb and say he'll be in Seattle at weeks end.

For Mason Appleton? That'd be a nice score by the bruins, Appleton is what Pitlick was supposed to be for us.

If it is Seattle they’ll be trading something like two 1sts, Eberle and they’re best prospect.

Boston won’t trade him to the Flames after the butt hurt they got from getting fleeced for Vladar

Friedman was speculating on the Marek show yesterday at noon about the possibility of Appleton for DeBrusk

Yeeeah, don't think that will be a factor. They'd probably make that trade again. - they have depth at the position, hence why they traded him... also, I doubt many GMs would be that petty.

I don’t even see “gritty” when I watch this guy play. I know “hit” counts aren’t everything, but there aren’t many gritty players who only register 30 or 40 a year. His rookie year seems to be an anomaly in that regard. This guy is all name.
Even his higher scoring seasons seem to have an inflated shooting %. I don’t get the hype.
Waaaaaay more interested in Kravstov.

Yeah they see Debrusk Jr. and think about another Foligno Jr., Domi Jr., etc. who inherited grit and added a level of skill. I don’t think he’s that way.

Scenario 1: Flames acquire Debrusk, acquisition cost ends up being a 2nd round pick.
Scenario 2: Flames acquire Kane, acquisition cost ends up being a 1st and a 2nd (and Kane's salary comes in at $1.75M AAV for this season and the next 3)
Which would you do?

Just can’t bring myself to wanting Kane on this team especially with how good the culture and locker room reportedly is right now. I’d take scenario 1 but honestly I don’t see a fit for another LW who will be RFA next year.

I would just stay away from Kane, like forever.

No for #1 for sure
Losing a pick then have to overpay to keep him next year or let him walk for nothing
I’ll do Debrusk for Monahan or maybe Zadorov to get rid of contract but that’s it

I see the Seattle connection given their cap space and need for good prospects but I don’t understand why they would deal Appleton. I could see a 3rd and 4th thrown Boston’s way but can’t see much more than that given they need prospects and picks going forward.

Friedman suggested that Appleton wasn't fitting in, and he isn't wrong. But there is a lot of flux in that Seattle lineup be it through injuries or line up decisions which have been all over the map. Appleton really hasn't had a chance to show anything there IMO.
Seattle has cap space and picks but they're also not afraid to jettison players who haven't stood out. His fault or not, thats Appleton.

A player with Kane's skill set would be fabulous to add.
But you just cannot get past the person. You can't.
He's a piece of ####. It's bad enough nobody likes him, but he thought it was OK to rape his wife because she was his wife. Garbage, garbage, garbage human being.

Why is it people keep suggesting the end boss of locker room cancers is a good idea for this team? Our locker room was broken last year, look how we played. And that was without Kane level issues.

I'm reading Kane as Patrick, Not Evander. Maybe I'm wrong. Evanders contract is 7.5 all the way through it isn't it?
