Obviously Price being away is a massive difference, but you'd think there would be more fallout from that start.

LeBrun was writing in the Athletic about how the NHL might "lighten up" the sched if they don't go to the Olympics. This of course would benefit all those teams that have not yet had a tough travel schedule because of the compressed season. Guess who will be a main beneficiary of that?

The Avs 5-2 win over the Ducks had Kadri and Landeskog each getting 2 points in the win. The weirdest part was the Darcy Kuemper's skate blade broke off from his skate for the second straight game. Each time, Johannson had to come into the net while Kuemper's blade got fixed. It broke again just before the 2nd period started and Kuemper was done for the night.


The Kraken stunned the Hurricanes with a 2-1 reg win. Grubauer made 35 saves.


More strong goaltending in the other OOT games. Marty Jones made 43 saves in the OT loss to the Panthers. Merzlikins with the 36 save SHUTOUT. Check out the links in the previous post.
