Should the Cowboys have gone for it on 4th and 4 at their own 13? What says win probability?

with hindsight yes...but they ended up with the Raiders pinned. Make a stop.
I really hate NFL OT, so much comes down to a coin toss

28 penalties for 276 yards still entraining the first game but the refrees should stop making it them about themselves....

I like NFL OT, Cowboys could have won due to their punter! College overtime is too gimmicky, even more so now with just 2 point converts.

That was too easy. Saints D doesn't have the same juice lately. Kinda looks like a team accepting their season is over

That Allen scramble for a 1st when the play broke down is exactly what the Saints are missing at QB since Jameis went down.

I can't imagine any model would show going for it improves WP. Not converting is a virtually guaranteed loss, and a 4th and 4 is probably under 50% convert. Maybe, maybe if the Cowboys had Cooper and Lamb you go, but if they had Cooper and Lamb they probably would have won in regulation.
Also, Anthony Brown surely had a bottom 10 game ever for a CB, four PI's is insane.

Lol why fake it there? Your defense has kept you in the game and if you pin them deep maybe they can get a takeaway or a quick stop. Awful decision.

I play this game a lot with NFL teams who’ve lost their QBs/don’t have one.
Put Bo Levi in this Saints team, how much better do you think they are?
Or are they?

Heck, I'm not sure I even want Bo starting the Stamps playoff game on Sunday...maybe Maier?
Siemian gets worse each game, but it goes far beyond him..3 Pro Bowlers on the OL out including both OTs, no Kamara/Ingram, no Thomas - 8 starters out on offence alone - they have Taysom holding a clipboard for some reason instead of being a jackknife, Payton's making bizarre calls...it's a mess, & literally a 2nd half preseason offence.
It's hard to watch, I miss having cable for my PVR style watching right now..at least I can get through it in 1.5 hrs that way and rip the bandaid off

The Saints offence is in really bad shape right now. Not sure if they'll get healthy enough to get this back on the rails.
It would seem like whomever can win this 49'ers and Vikings game this weekend will really gain themselves a leg up in the NFC playoff race against the rest of the field.
Credit due to the Raiders for fighting thru some more injuries and finding a way to pull off that win. Having that effective deep threat made a big difference in their passing game today. Jackson drew as much penalty yardage as he caught today and he went for over 100 official receiving yards. Once again the Cowboys do enough to plant that seed of doubt that they just aren't ready to be an elite level team.
I don't think there is currently a QB in the CFL who could do much of anything in the NFL. Guys like Doug Flutie, and Jeff Garcia were very dominant players in the CFL before getting a chance to play in the NFL as starters. I don't follow the CFL very closely anymore, but I'm not hearing about one guy putting up crazy totals every week to win games. As the NFL starts to look for more or these running type QB's I wonder if that impact the CFL as these smaller guys who were mobile but wanted to play QB often didn't get a look in the NFL.

Given that the Saints have kept kicking the cap can down the road to stay competitive now it really didn't make sense to not make a play for a QB at the deadline. They probably make the playoffs with ease with a replacement level starter, instead they are trotting out a replacement level backup and will probably miss.
Although to be fair I do think the NFL should move the trade deadline back to...like now, after this week. That way we have more clarity on the playoff picture and probably more action in trades.

Agreed about the early deadline, it's way too early as is. I still think the Saints issues on offence right now go much deeper than just QB: their scab-calibre WRs/TEs can't get separation & drop everything, the OL is decimated w/ injury, and they're down to their rookie #3 RB who just returned from a concussion. I've never cheered for a team so riddled with injuries in a season in my life, it's crazy.
But yeah a capable QB is definitely #1 on the offseason agenda, as well as getting WR/TE figured out. I really think they'll take a run at Russ/Rodgers/Watson (whether they can get one is another matter). If Thomas isn't ready for Week 1 next year I'm so done with him, he's essentially missed 2 years straight. Gone are the days where they can get by with 1 weapon and Brees throwing open average WRs, Payton/Loomis need to realize this.

AJ Brown out Sunday so that means the Titans will be without their top 3 WRs , and top 2 HBs against the Patriots.....Who's defense has been on fire lately......And they are on the road....... after the Pats got a few extra days to prepare after playing Thursday last week......I remember when the Patriots crushed us 59-0 hopefully it's not that bad , but it's going to be bad lol
