Richardson turns 37 this season. I don’t have a problem if he gets an occasional game off.

He is running out of time with the Flames soon. Time to give him a serious good look even it’s just in practice

Wait what? He's 22. How is he running out of time?

Isn’t he waiver available next year?

You can’t keep prospects forever without playing them. Well, Unless they are no good.

Big opportunity, hopefully he gets a few games and shows well. Rooting for him.

Flames could use a big, mean power forward type. It's there for the taking.

Sounds like his sole issue has been consistency of output.

Hopefully he's figuring out what makes him tick and gets him prepared on more nights than not. We could really use a player like him when he's on.

Sutter has made so few changes to the roster night in and night out. Almost none.

I doubt that changes.

But they didn't want Duehr just sitting there for three weeks so it's time to ship him back to play and have another guy that "close" practice with the NHL team and learn the system.

Doubt he gets in.

Would be happy to be wrong and see him play though.

Is he mean? Hopefully his fitness is there so he is ready to play fast. That seems to be a priority for the coach.

Top notch teams need to demand more from everyone constantly until they can get to a point where all 4 lines are contributing. Despite being pretty darn good so far, Richardson should be a candidate to sit if Sutter thinks he has more to give. Same goes for Pitlick and Lewis. These rules apply to Valimaki so why would it be any different on the 4th line?

Ruzicka would certainly add more skill to the 4th even if he was deployed along the wing, which Sutter will most certainly do initially with a raw player if he does get into the lineup at all.

Yup. Could be as simple as a reward for his play in Stockton. Get a NHL paycheck for a week.

Gawdin, Duehr and now Ruzicka.

How many call-ups per season are allowed? Or, are these exempt because they're injury call-ups?

With 8 defensemen, Connor Mackey isn't going to be called up anytime soon.

He is as mean as Monahan, don’t know about fast neither but he has some skills

I think that limitation of call ups is only post trade deadline.

Ruzicka deserves the NHL pay at least. Good showing by him in the AHL.

I agree with some, I think it's ok to offer a guy like Lewis or Richardson rest for a game for trying Ruzicka, but Sutter probably doesn't care much for that plan.

California road trip coming up. Might get one game and he probably gets dropped off in Stockton unless he blows Sutter away

I think that is the point. Richardson is bringing it right now. We can rest him later

Pitlick could use a night off. He’s trying but hasn’t been great.

Put Ruzicka in for him and if he plays well then pitlick can sub back after a game or 2 if someone else needs to sit

Lewis Richardson and lucic have been great of late so can’t see why they sit. Later maybe they aren’t great and sit a game or have a nagging injury and need a days rest. Right now that is not the case and pitlick is the top candidate to sit and maybe the only one right now who deserves a night off
