Federal ban on unvaccinated travellers comes into effect Nov 30th. Players must fly to away games. So anti vaxxers wont be able to board flights after the semi finals.

I don't understand why the Stamps just don't put the anti-vaxxers on the bus at least for Winnipeg. I get that they may lose a day of practice but you need bodies around for depth in the case of injuries.

How about they just cut these damn effing deplorables.
I was watching Global last night and Mark Stephens has an idea of who they are and they are in key positions.
Garbage.

How are you supposed to bus them to Hamilton for the Grey Cup? Are there even busses that go from Calgary to Hamilton?

I assume the Stamps can afford to rent a bus and a driver. If they win in Winnipeg then just have them bus out to Hamilton. I'm not saying they will do that but I would. Even if they miss practice time it would be worth it for depth in case a player gets hurt during the game.

I believe the league outlawed bypassing the travel ban.
You fly with the team or you don’t travel at all.

Elks have scheduled a news conference for early afternoon. I hope they’ll announce everyone at the top is axed including Presson, Elizondo and Sunderland.

I believe the CFL's rule is that a team has to travel together. So if everyone gets on the bus they can do it. But to fly somewhere and make the unvaxxed travel by car -- not allowed.

For the money and because the league needs strong teams, including the Elks.

This is true. Here are the attendance figures for the last week of the regular season. Not good at all.
Toronto: 6,247
Montreal: 11,297
Vancouver: 12,500
Hamilton: 22,344
Calgary: 19,103

Very good article from Dave Naylor on the challenges the league faces:

At least they have a new owner in BC with deep pockets who seems to be fully vested in turning around the fortunes of the Lions. Sunderland was a disaster as GM and Elizondo showed he wasn't ready for the head coaching gig in Edmonton with some strange personnel decisions as well as in-game coaching decisions. I agree with MoneyGuy, the league is better with a good team in Edmonton, it was pretty shocking to see that many empty seats at Commonwealth.

I can't believe the league is still going after COVID. Must be costing the owners a fortune
It sounds like many (all?) teams will have to sit players in the playoffs due to them being anti vaccinating, pro disease morons?
What kind of #### show are they running here?
1. Why was it OK for the idiots to play before, but it isn't now?

I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions they would implement to help grow the league. I think the CFL needs to start thinking outside the box a little.
Here is something I would implement right away:
Ticket pricing: The league needs to get fans back in the stands again at all costs. I would drastically reduce ticket prices and create a consistent league wide ticketing price point. General seating prices should be $200, $150, $100, $50, and $20 based on stadium location. Teams can designate which sections and how many seats fall under each category but we need to lower prices, especially for the worst seats in the building. Nosebleeds, endzones, and corner seats should not exceed $20.
It would be better for the league long term to reduce ticket prices and sell out stadiums rather than keep prices high but only have half full stadiums. Full stadiums create atmosphere, which creates excitement, which creates demand. When stadiums sell out they can raise prices, but for now they need to follow the German soccer leagues tactics and reduce prices in order to sell out stadiums.
Teams need to focus on attracting families and younger kids. They are the future season ticket holders so they need to get them hooked when they are young. More family and kid promotions is a must. They should also focus in on high school and university students. They need to make going to the stadium an event and worth everyone's time.
