The season ended poorly, but 2018-19 was pretty damn good. I went to games at Rogers Arena that year where it seemed that half the crowd was wearing red.
But, yeah. Times are good right now.

That’s true but with the Canucks absolutely ####ting the bed, the howls about firing the coach, and the deep burning anger about the Markstrom signing, it’s an excellent time.

All this talk of 7 shutouts in 19 games is making me want to look at how many shutouts the Flames have had since Kipper was in net. So here we go...
2021-21: 7
2020-21: 4
2019-20: 4
2018-19: 3
2017-18: 3
2016-17: 5
2015-16: 3
2014-15: 5
2013-14: 2
2012-13: 0 (and this was the last year Kipper played)
And then just to note how absolutely GOATed the Flames goaltending was with Kipper
2006-07: 7
2005-06: 10
2003-04: 11

Best goal differential in the league and amazing to see both goalies getting it done. 7 of 11 wins shutouts that is remarkable

I caught the game on the radio and just watched the highlights now.
The Mangiapane shortie is ridiculous. Dube with a break away, gets stopped, gets stopped again, and again...
... and then the entire Bruins team gets back, and four of them come right into the crease...
...and somehow Bread still scores. Unreal.
