Congrats Cecil wish you a lifetime of single life.

When I get divorced I am going to start the GDT.

Flames beat an Eicheless Sabres team 5-1.

Coleman - Backs - Mangiapane is something that I am excited to see. Monahan has to really step up and lead his line now as well, I’d prefer

Lucic - Monahan - Dube

I personally think that Mangi will be offensively neutered in this position but lets see how it goes!

Backs deserves to be playing ahead of Mony, so this looks good to me!

I hope Dube-Monahan can form a solid duo.

Backs and Coleman are super responsible defensively and play 200 foot games, I could actually see this working out quite well for Mangi who’s been a line driver much of the time this year. Possession hockey with Coleman and Backs could see him getting fed in the slot more often than he’s been this year so it’ll be fun to see if he can pot a couple.

Thought Monahan was poor last game, and took his best game with a grain of salt since it was against an exhausted half AHL squad

I think that second line is going to work really well

Nice to see Monahan get put in bottom 6 where I think it better suits his game.

Thought he was less noticeable in a bad way before he got promoted.

And after counting two Mississippis he will fire it wide.

That 3rd line feels like the ‘what would you say you do here?’ group where Darryl just threw them all together for convenience. Might work. Or they might play 7 mins.

Backlund and Coleman looked great together when they played, add Mangiapane to that mix rather than Pitlick and its worth getting excited over IMO

He has this seriously annoying trait of looking like a superstar for like a 4-5 games and then not bothering to show up for 4-5 games

Would fit right in on the Leafs.

Here's hoping Tkachuck goes out there and punishes the Sabres players to get back at their management for making up fake rumors about him

People joke but the reality is Calgary had an opportunity to get Eichel and failed to do so, and it will almost certainly prove to be a huge mistake.

That’s just the reality. No sense crying about other people pointing it out, but I’m sure this post won’t stop it anyway Haha

30 other teams also passed at that opportunity.

I tend to agree. I've become frustrated with Backlund. He seems to be killing any offense on his line. It's really frustrating, because at times you see how gifted he can be offensively, but then it just dissappears for weeks at a time.

I'm also growing tired of Tkachuk being non-existent on the top line 5 on 5. Just doesn't seem to get much done.

I know it's the in thing to hate Monahan these days, but I wonder if Sutter might ever try this:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Coleman - Dube - Pitlick
Lucic - Richardson - Lewis

Tkachuk and Backlund were really good together in the past. It gets Dube back to Center with defensively aware Coleman. And I've always liked 13-23-28; maybe they can rekindle 2018.

This. Reunite him with Marner, we'll take Matthews off their hands.
