Deep dish pizza must be some sort of exotic ethnic dish.

Monday is pizza night over here and all this talk about deep dish type of pizzas had me wanting to try Little Caesars. It has been about 4 years since I've had Little Caesars and I got their rectangular deep dish and it is a huge pile of crap. Probably the worst pizza I have had in a long time.

Little Caesars has taken the let's beat everyone else on price point approach. It's cheap, but basically just ketchup smeared across a large amount of greasy dough. If I'm going fast food pizza, all of dominos, pizza hut, panagos, and papa John's have something to offer.... Little Caesars, not so much.

Tried Pizza Project in Kensington last week.
I'd pass.
Supposed to be NYC style big slices. The crust is like a cracker, so when you fold it it crumbles. Sauce was ok, if not a bit on the spicy side. Had the typical pep and cheese so can't really comment on the toppings.

I just posted this in the restaurant thread but I guess it can fit in here:
Popped up in my feed. A amateur chef couple seems to be selling Detroit style pizzas out of the Wednesday Room's back door on Sundays?

Tried Bow Tie on the weekend, thumbs up from the whole family. Love the thinly sliced mushrooms on top of the cheese and the sauce and crust were very good.

Just ordered pizza hut delivery and everything came unsealed (sticker seal). I wouldn’t have thought anyone would be delivered unsealed these days, particularly a chain? Otherwise it was pretty solid.
Hanni’s is generally our go to, but needed quick delivery.

From recent experience, my thought was almost all of them?? Not sure if this came about because of the pandemic or because of the popularization of food delivery services.

Weird. I haven’t seen that. I don’t order from Pizza Hut though.

I also tried Bowtie in Killarney for the first time. It was outstanding. Would highly recommend. The "New York Pepperoni" pizza, where they put the pepperoni on top of the cheese... *chef kiss.

I made some Chicago deep dish style pizza last night.
Dough and sauce from scratch
Wish I took more pictures but it was so good.
Kinda messed up the toppings. And had to put some on the sauce.

Bow Tie is my Favourite pizza in the City now.
My goto’s:
-Bow Tie
-It’s Actually Pretty Good
-Hanni’s
-Dominoes (one very close to me, quick, crazy cheap from App and coupons and I like the options you can choose. Sauce is the best one of Fast Food joints IMO)
What are yours currently?
