Vladar has been awesome. I expected him to be my favourite new Flame and he is delivering

Monahan had a great game. Huge defensive play, and very aware and confident to throw the puck the way he did to save that goal, plus of course the offensive contribution

Delightful

Wasn’t the most exiting game, but it was a great game to get them back in the winning mode. I hope it keeps them on track. Go flames go

Sutter suggested Pitlick isn't injured in his presser. Thought it was announced he was injured but I think Sutter squashed that idea.

Edit: late to the party

Mangiapane is the bread man.

Monahan is the toaster expert.

If only there was a winger that could compliment them I — wait a minute:

It was probably a good game to scratch Tyler Pitlick and give Walker Duehr his first NHL game for some experience.

It was a good game for the Flames to win but I also thought Ottawa played them quite well, a couple of those goals I'm sure Anton Forsberg would like back. Anderson's and Zadorov's.

I liked Matthew Tkachuk's goal.

Good 1st shutout By Dan Vladar.

And Coach Darryl Sutter post game, good insights.

That was a really good post-game conference by Sutter. When he’s in the mood, his insights and thinking about the game are great to hear.

Yeah, he likes talking the game, like how a road trip is hard. He dislikes the media asking about players and lineups.

Had seats in the front row on my sons first birthday, so we made a sign. My son doesn't know how cool it is that Mikael Backlund gave him a stick after warm up, but I promise he will.

Zadorov has more goals in Calgary in 10 games than Brodie does in TO after 72 games

Maybe this is a Tyler Durden scenario.

Oh sure, pitch an NHL shutout and all of a sudden the "long-lost twins" come out of the woodwork.

Spoiler!

I can think of no better way to bounce back than to pitch a Darryl Sutter shutout! Of course Kudos to Vladar. What a game for him. Flames' goatending duo looks as strong as ever.

Solid game from pretty much everybody. Never thought I would say this but Gudbranson starting to look like a beast out there. Glad I'm eating crow on that one.

Sens are lucky to have Gord Miller as their PBB guy. Enjoyed listening to him. But poo on him for bringing up Gaudreau and his connection to Philly as a possible destination.

Otherwise a fun game to watch. Glad the team got the Sens' monkey off their back, even if they were missing 10 players.

As she lies in bed on an IV drip of maple syrup and complains of America’s ills, a Mountie tells her that as a “victim of political persecution who fears for her life, I must keep you in Canada where you’ll be safe and assigned your own hockey team.”

“Please not Ottawa, please not Ottawa,” the second-grader replies, her fingers crossed, as the Mountie puts a Senators’ cap on her.

“Yeah, I’m… I’m so sorry,” he answers.
