Sutter needs to tell these guys to get moving and stop worrying about the refs.
Play our game ....boring road hockey or as Nemo used to say.....hospital hockey....
Lots of patients.

lol Sportsnet flies Eric the scrub out to Toronto for his piss poor commentary. Talk about flushing money down the drain. Hire someone other that the hoodie guy for $15/hour!

So you use one chart to support your theory in the first, then abandon that chart and say it doesn't really paint the whole picture in the second?
Regardless, Flames need to pull a San Jose horseshoe and just squeak out a win here.

Those aren't my stats
NS has the high danger chances 9-7 Flames
They need to get a shot through and hit the net IMO
It's a tired vs. rested games against a good team. Win a period

Also, I think there's something injured with Lindholms hands or wrists. He's losing basic passes on breakouts. Which never happens. Ever.
Edit: to be clear, he gets a pass on his stick but he doesn't seem to have the strength to accept it and work with it. It's been like 4 or 5 of those tonight.

Can we have more of the hoodie guy instead of Francis?

No, because the Leafs' shot attempt numbers in the first period were also backed up by excellent expected goals numbers.
The Flames had a ton of shot attempts in the second period but they were almost all peripheral.

The reffing the last two games has been a bit of a joke. The Flames aren’t playing their best, but it doesn’t help when every single borderline call goes against the Flames.

I don’t think the refs have missed any calls, the flames aren’t doing anything to draw any. Need to skate harder and get inside

The most obvious one they missed is the crosscheck on Mangiapane in the first.

I couldn't possibly care less about the reffing but our guys have been can openered or slashed a lot tonight with no calls.
And complaining about reffing is the worst thing anybody can do in my opinion.

There hasn't been a large volume of could-be calls, but there have been a few missed ones.

I was thinking the same thing.
No shots tonight, and only 1 last night.

That was a nice segment by Francis and Leslie.
But I’m probably at the point where I’m done with thinking about 2004. I feel like whenever someone brings it up, I get melancholy. 17 years and counting since this team has made any noise in the playoffs.
1989 is nostalgia and feels good though.

It generally evens out in the end.
Even if it doesn’t, don’t leave it up to the refs.
