But this just might be a case of a guy that makes glaring mistakes, but then does a lot of little things really well that go unnoticed.

Leaves you frustrated because you're zeroing on him.

Zadorov is weird. Based on the eye test he tends to look horrible but analytics have liked him and Gudbranson together.

Might be a bit of TJ Brodie effect going on - Do good things 90% of the time but the mistakes are so glaring that they stand out.

4 Flames pairings have played 40 or more minutes together at 5v5 this year:

Zadorov-Gudbranson: 82:20 TOI - 66.1% xGF - 2 GF - 1 GA
Tanev - Kylington: 150:01 TOI - 64.1% xGF - 6 GF - 5 GA
Hanifin - Andersson: 185:13 TOI - 54.6% xGF - 11 GF - 3 GA
Valimaki - Gudbranson: 89:52 - 49.6% xGF - 3 GF - 3 GA

It's clear that our top 4 has emerged - but based on results I guess you can see here why Sutter has liked Zadorov and Gudbranson more than he's like Valimaki and Gudbranson.
