Would be a great time for Felix to win his first title on tour.

If he can get past Shapo later today, he has a great chance. I'd just like him to get his first crown just to shut the trolls up for a bit.

Exactly, don't like cheering against Shapo but if Felix can win the event that would be a huge boost for him before next year.

Tommy Paul has punched his ticket to the Stockholm final - He awaits the winner of Felix vs. Shapo which is next.

Shapo takes the opening set 6-4. Denis was on fire and Felix struggled early, but FAA played much better and had two breaks points to get back even at 5-5. However, some clutch serving from Denis sealed the deal.

Felix breaks Denis and is serving at 3-1 in set 2.
Edit: Denis breaks right back. Some fine tennis being played in Stockholm at the moment.

Shapo breaks Felix and is serving for the match at 6-5. Crazy good stuff from Denis, Felix is playing great, Denis just channeled Spinal Tap and went to 11.

Denis wins 6-4 7-5. It was a fantastic match, but Denis raised his level when it was needed most and that was the difference.

Shapo loses the first set 6-4 to Tommy Paul, but is up a break in set 2. Denis was serving at 3-1 and was down love-40, but ripped off five straight points for the hold. Let's go Denis!!

Denis living dangerously again that service game, but rallies from 15-40 down for the hold.

Denis breaks to take set 2 6-2. A one set shootout for the Stockholm crown is needed.

Denis has saved 10 break points in this match thus far (broken once in the first set). He's has some looks on the Paul serve, now would be a great time to pounce.

Ugh, Denis had two break points and couldn't convert and then Paul breaks Shapo at love. Denis then breaks a racquet and hears it from the crowd.

Well, I hate to say it, but Denis crumpled at the end. He had the match in his palm of his hand and could not seal the deal. Congrats to Tommy Paul on his first title. 6-4 2-6 6-4

We need to revert the Davis Cup back to its previous format where there were scheduled ties throughout the year rather than this competition at the end of the season where guys are burnt out and need a break. I don't blame Denis and Felix one bit for bailing, the tennis season is too long as it is.

Well that's a real shame, Berrettini was playing very well against Zverev even though he dropped the first set in a tie-break and then was forced to retire early in set 2 with what appears to be some kind of abdominal injury.

Both players are 22 and 21 years old, I get it's been a long year and perhaps they have injuries so I shouldn't speculate or judge too harshly. It's just really disappointing because they reached the finals two years ago and had a real shot to make some noise again and go far. IIRC, Milo's always went (when healthy). Hope they are 100% going into next year and both have a great AO, but now all aboard the Spain train
