It happens, but shouldn’t happen in consecutive games.

The top paid and best players have a lot of accountability , IMO.

They are, predominately , the major reason for wins and losses.

People whining about the 4th line and bottom pair D carries no weight with me.
Speaking of top paid players, I was hoping to see a little more offensive skill out of Coleman. Put into a more prominent role here, I was hoping to see more. His goal total is OK I guess but he’s not often in the mix on scoring chances from what I see.

I agree the top line wasn’t too good tonight. Which is always going to be a challenge. We don’t have top players in the league type talent. You hope you get some contributions from up and down the line up.

People hoping Gaudreau and Tkachuk are elite superstars are going to be continually disappointed. Are either one of the top 50 players in the game? I believe ESPN only had one of them in their top 100.

Pretty even game

Mangiapane had the highlight reel play, Markstrom pulled the skate off the post too early, Suzuki was sharp, and the refs weren’t balanced in penalty calling

Park it and move on. No big deal

Not really, Coleman has been playing in a shutdown role every game until tonight

Adversity or whatever. I like our odds of making the playoffs, will have to wait to see how the team is playing, and who we match-up with ,before I decide if we are contenders or not.

Bottom line is about the top line. Other teams' stars making the difference in third periods as Flames lose back to back in regulation for first time this season.

Bound to lose a couple games, but the way they've looked these last 2 is more disappointing than the result.
Just playing down to 2 very bad teams.

Hopefully it's not a start of a trend and things bounce back tomorrow.

The coaches need to sit down with Tkachuk and show him video of every cute play he tries to make.
Whenever he score a fancy through the legs goal, it becomes positive reinforcement in his mind to keep doing that stuff.
What follows is 25 no look passes to no one and the net return of that stuff is negative. He needs to just simplify things and learn to play smart.

If you want a see a team actually play a bad game flip over to the Canucks/Avs

god help us when the Flames lose by more than one goal (not including empty netters)

No team is going to win every game, yes there are a couple teams that don't lose that many games. It's an 82 game marathon vs a sprint and that's why it was important for the Flames to get off to a good hot start. Even after a couple losses they're still in a good position.

Thanks alot Flames you cost me my Parley because LA did their job, you didn't do yours. At least I won the other two game set that I bet on, so I pretty much broke even.

But now I'm bitter, the Flames cost me a new pair of shoes.

Moneypuck has his share of possible icetime almost identical to last year so I guess you’re right his role is no more prominent. Then it’s a chicken and egg thing I guess with regards to opportunity and production.

Let’s put it this way, I have yet to see much that makes me think he deserves more.

Gaudreau and Lindholm were asleep most of the game.

That one clown yelling at Backlund about the high stick...which on replay wasn't a high stick. What a moron

Chucky needs to simplify his game...just play straight-ahead hard hockey. He's trying to do stuff that isn't his style...too cute, too fancy-pants.

Was NOT impressed with either Zadorov or Gudbranson tonight...both have had moments in past games; tonight wasn't one of them.

Should've at least gotten a point. Didn't play well enough to do that. Didn't play terribly...just didn't play well. Stopped their relentless checking. Gave Montreal WAY too much time and space.

Yup - and he (ref) looked MAD at Backs, too.

Pretty sure that you understand hyperbole. Would you rather I referred to Vegas, or the Avs, or the Isles?

I thought Gudbrandson was very good and Zadorov was average.

Do you really believe that were accountable factors in the loss?

I can think of others who were more culpable.
