We were expecting to play the Sherks and a bunch of Sharks showed up instead.

They were fine generating chances, the Sharks might be the best team I have ever seen at blocking shots. Combine that with Hill playing out of his head and it's fine, you won't win them all. On to Montreal.

I think Hill could have played that game with his glove hand tied to his body. Flames put so many pucks into his pads and lower body. Maybe the scouting report was to beat him low and not go upstairs but that was way too easy a game for the local boy.

This is the second game this, season where the Flames were pretty dominant and didn't get the win (Nashville the other). That happens sometimes. I'm concerned it might happen to this team more than most. We sill see

Rather than blame this loss on a hot goalie or a lackluster effort from the Flames, we can place the blame squarely on one person. Me.

No word of a lie, every time I've popped some popcorn to enjoy the game with, the Flames have lost this season. Every time.

I didn't need it last night, I knew the odds were high, but I had some again anyway and for that I am deeply sorry.

Rest assured CP, I will not be partaking during any of the 3 games this upcoming week/weekend.

3 wins in a row coming up.

You're good man, it's my fault, I clipped my toenails. Last time I clipped them they lost. I knew I shouldn't do it but I did anyway, I'm sorry.

Still trying to understand what Pittlick provides to this team, that entire line really seemed to lack chemistry on the homestead

Came in to say something almost identical. I feel like Monohan is gaining traction now. Not nearly as tentative and looks like his feet are out of the mud.

The game itself reminded me of the Wild. Boring af.

these games happen and hopefully they will be few and far between this year.

hopefully once Mony is feeling better the lines will be rebalanced - I'm dying to see Mony, Bread and Coleman give it a go.

This loss had nothing to do with secondary players not contributing. This had to do with those players who some are prepared to pay 9+ million not producing. This loss is not on Zadorov. Maybe it's time to criticize the right players.

I wore a blue shirt on game day.

Wore the enemy's colour. Sticking to hues only on the warm side of the colour wheel from now on. And no orange on BOA days, I promise.

The Flames system worked, and they had the edge in play, but the finish wasn’t there. Also SJ was pretty structured and disciplined, which is how you have to succeed with 7 regulars out.

These things happen, you aren’t going to be sharp and get the bounces every night.

The Flames have 8 games in 13 days coming up. That is a lot, it will be tough on the players. I would be surprised to see them razor sharp for all 8

Pittlick is the one guy I’m not sold on yet in the lineup. Pretty sure what he’s offering could have been provided via the farm.

I wonder if they are going to move Monahan up in the lineup once he gets his legs under him. Or if he’ll be stuck on the 4th kine all year. He’ll be untradeable if he does stay there.

No way. They could surely get a second round pick plus Emil Heineman 2.0

There was at least 2-3 posts last night on some great opportunities? For a game that was effectively a 2-1 loss, I think there's a lot less need to pick at things compared to the losses we've seen in the previous seasons.
