Well, the Flames have rebounded after every meh performance so far. Let’s see what happens this time.

It would make sense that in the last period of play before they head out for 7 games minds would've wandered a bit. Probably looking past the game at that point, thinking their mojo from the second would just carry them to a favorable outcome, rather than making the effort to stay focused & engaged.
Shame they didn't grab a lead in that second period surge. Would've at least salvaged points.

Even an old Gio would give you more hustle on some of those sequences and he was washed up. The Sharks 1st and 3rd goals just really make you wonder why Hanifin is always being praised for his speed.

I've been thinking this for about two years now. His recovery game is awful. His IQ isn't top pairing quality either. I don't think he makes quick decisions very well. Not saying he's bad, but I don't value him like most do.

Yup.
Overall Coleman is 4th in 5v5 ice time on the season, so he usually gets ice. He actually didn’t look great tonight so that’s probably why he didn’t see as much ice.
But Mangiapane is now down to 10th on the team in 5v5 ice time, 11th if you count Brad Richardson. Just makes no sense at all.

I don't know what the fancy stats say, but I thought Monahan looked good tonight. Almost "fast" at times (although if he's matching up against 3rd and 4th liners, that makes some sense).

He gives me that same "meh" feeling that Dougie Hamilton did - of course I can appreciate the good things both guys bring - their first pass, their dump-in- recovery, their shot generation from the point - but I still am left feeling like both guys are perhaps more valuable in a trade than on the ice. I'm not rushing to trade him or anything, but I don't consider him untouchable. I want to see if Valimaki can sink or swim in a top 4 role before I consider Hanifin outright expendable, but I'm definitely not expecting him to progress towards 2019 Pietrangelo or 2015 Keith (those guys who can stitch together those perfect, impactful games that swing a playoff series). I'm not even sure if he can give us 2019 Seth Jones.

Being a Tuesday is not an excuse.
People in attendance should forfeit their upcoming tix to fans who will get up out of their seat and show some appreciation for the boys and their strong start.

Is this a joke?
The fans are spending the money. They are paying for entertainment from the millionaires. Who are making the money
It’s lovely to think the fans stir the drink, but good lord.
The players lost the game. Not the fans.

Lol did I say the fans lost them the game?
No, I said we as a fanbase can create a more conducive environment to success at home than we are. Which we can. How often do the players talk about feeding off the crowd. Well what are we giving them when we're being compared to a church service? Which we were this evening.
Excuse me if I think it's lame that people eat up seats and basically tune out for the duration, in a season where they're going all in with Sutter. At the end of the day, you're gonna do what you're gonna do. But if thats how you approach the live games, why go? Maybe those seats are best served in the hands of fans that are going to show a little passion for the guys and contribute to making the dome a tougher environment to come into.

Key word help, yes.
Do fans win/lose the games for them? Obviously not.

The dome is one of the loudest buildings in the league. You’re talking out of your ass if you think otherwise. The difference is that the fan base knows exactly what they are cheering for/booing. The “library” stuff is misplaced. No, it’s not a college football game with thousands of drunk idiots screaming for nothing. But it’s one of the loudest and most knowledgable fanbases in the league.
Imagine if that Halak (Vancouver last night) penalty happened in Calgary? It would have been hard to hear the announcers.

Then perhaps those fans should buy tickets. There are seats available.

I value him. I think we could land a solid top 6 forward for him.
