He arrived at the perfect time, hence the goal.
Don't you go questioning Jagr!
While he wasn't fast here - he was still good here.

Don't let the record fool you. SJ has been pretty fortunate through a number of their games this year. Since winning four straight to start the season they have a pretty pedestrian 2-4-1 record, with only one win in regulation and scoring-splits of 2.28 GF/GP and 3.29 GA/GP.

I've never seen someone use their butt as effectively as Jagr. It was like he had a fifth limb!! I thought he was excellent at winning puck battles even if he was a step behind and he had a decent amount of wonderful chances that were robbed.

If Bennett didn't hold out like a dumbass, Jagr might have had a full camp and not blown his groin.

A Jagr is never late, nor is he early. A Jagr arrives precisely when he means to.

I assume you mean Gaudreau?
Bennett signed pretty early that year didn't he?
Edit: wait Gaudreau didn't hold out that year either
edit2: Bennett signed a bit late - early september, but it wasn't a holdout. Jagr didn't sign until october.
I think Tre was just not happy with the preseasons of guys like Emile Poirier who were supposed to be pushing for a RW spot.

Wow, that’s bad. Yep, we’re definitely winning 9-0 against this team of unknown scrubs.

I am sticking to my guns here. That roster is absolutely pitiful.

How isn't it a holdout? He signed the week camp started.

Because Treliving has always taken a long time to sign RFAs without arbitration rights.
For all we know Treliving and Bennett's agent had the number agreed upon, but just hadn't put pen-to-paper.
Bennett played in preseason games that year, a bunch IIRC.

Its still a holdout if he isn't in camp day one because of a contract dispute...just a short one
Not sure what it has to do with blowin' Jagr's groin though

Could also be a trap game. Depleted roster without many recognizable names. Just before a long road trip. Team has been playing well.
