playing teams full of young prospects always scare the hell out of me. These guys are ready to try their all to get a job. The Flames better be ready for a high energy game, even if it is low skill.

What an amazing start for Markstrom - considering playing the backup after your starter bats a shutout, just because he gets so many of them…

I think this happened a little bit with Monahan.

I don't think the intention was for Monahan to be on the 4th line long term but the team has been winning so no need to mess around too much.

He did, but contextually you misheard him.

Coleman-Richardson-Lewis was the line he threw out after the 2nd PP unit (Backlund-Lucic-Mangiapane-Dube-Hanifin) along with Kylington and Tanev. They scored on that shift, that's what he was referring to.

Flames usually match up with the Central Division pretty well but have never really matched up well against their Pacific division opponents as even though the west coast teams have been in the dumps they haven't totally dominated them as much as you would hope. The Oilers seem to be a lot better at taking care of business against the weaker teams in the Pacific Division than the Flames.

Who are missing two players from both the top 6 forwards and top 4 D because of covid protocol…

That is one gamebreaking player I would not underestimate if healthy and playing well.

13-0 Flames. Markstrom with a goal and 3 assists.

He's looked pretty washed up ever since he joined the Sharks.

Timo Meier and Lebanc (arguably middle 6 for Lebanc) to go along with Nieto who’s another mid 6 fwd for them. On the back end EK and Vlasic are also both notably missing from tonight’s lineup.

Sutter was talking about how there isn't much continuity among lines, other than the Lindholm line. Guys had moved around a lot depending on game situations, PP, PK, who is sharp, momentum etc then he said when Richardson scored he was centering Coleman and Lewis, which he then said was a line that he liked

Erik Karlsson being out is a negative for the Flames. Wish he was playing.

Karlsson actually had a fantastic start to the season and though he isn’t looking like Senators Karlsson he’s looked like a solid top 4 Dman early on here. I think it’s a good thing he’s out of the lineup, Flames will really have a chance to feast on a young D group and the backup to go along with a fwd group that’s been spread pretty thin.

'Jasper Weatherby' sounds like he should be a character in Archie Comics.

Or like an old-timey Southern gentleman sipping mint julips on the porch.
