Avs fill biggest hole
The Colordado Avalanche had one glaring weakness heading into the CPHL playoffs - lack of a solid #2 goalie to take some pressure off the young Cristobal Huet.
The Avs addressed that need by acquiring Mike Dunham in exchange for Brandon Prust. Thanks to the Blue Jackets for the smooth trade talks.
Huet sits atop the league in GAA and Save %, and despite having lower ratings than Dunham at this time he of course is expected to lead the way as the Avs ride out the rest of the season and aim to start the playoffs at home.
