This just doesn't make sense. The Flames are still trying to win this season and make the playoffs. With Tkachuk out of the lineup and no replacement until March at the earliest, this severely hurts our chances.

That is a lot to add to Tkachuk for Eichel.

It probably also gets rid of the risk of Monahan’s no trade/movement clause. But damn, that is a huge offer

There's way less than a 50% chance Tkachuk is a Flame in a year anyway (I'd say more lime 10%).

I don't think it severely hurts our chances. Tkachuk is good but he's not carrying the team, he's not even carrying a line.

The team is playing like a solid unit.
