Third best goal differential in the league, third most points and top team in the West, fourth in goals for, third in goals against, most shutouts. Just incredible. Keep it up.

How to beat the Oilers, in 10 easy steps.

Step 1. Don't take penalties.
Step 2. Just kidding about the 10 steps, there's only 1.

McDavid is 2 ppg in the regular season it's not a Flames thing, he also hasn't seen the Coleman, Backlund, Pitlick line

So I was looking up some ancient history, and I stumbled on this from 1910:

Quote:
Renfrew should have won the cup this winter. Why they had positively the greatest collection of players that I have ever seen together. Why did they lose? Simply because the team lacked confidence in itself and because it was not properly handled until Alf Smith took charge. Those men didn't know the extent of their hockey abilities. They became discouraged too easily and again did not appear to take things with sufficient seriousness. —Bruce Stuart
Alf Smith was a pretty darn good player, then coached the Ottawa Silver Seven to multiple Stanley Cups in the days before the NHL. Kind of a Darryl Sutter resume.

Coaching matters!

Ya what a brutal flight that is from Vancouver to Calgary. You can't even get through an episode of Mrs. Maisel without having to shut off your phone.

I am very happy that Kylington is not in Seattle. But damn it would be nice to have Gio here.

Kylington/Tanev were automatix tonight. Monahan had more good looks tonight than the rest of the year combined, he was feeling it. Good games from everyone but the bottom pairing. Not sure if Zadorov is just bad or hasn’t found a fit with anyone yet.

Game Takes: Flames 4 Flyers 0

- 3 shut outs in four games for Markstrom
- Gaudreau and Tkachuk score again
- Tanev and Kylington dominant
- That's 6 in a row baby!

When you can't look at yourself objectively, you project. Coiler fans and their sh*tty media are really good at this. Such delusion.

Okay, none of this tonight.

Time out for you, and time out for the other guy.

You're not soiling what can be a perfectly beautiful PGT.

It was our 4th in 6. Oilers fans are the worst in pro sports.

Awesome start…so great to see. Flames are making it fun to watch hockey again!

Obviously the win % will regress over time, but the fundamentals seem to be in place for a successful season.

The defence is playing great, team is playing tough, and Sutters system is really working.

I was critical of Markstrom after last season and the first 2 starts this year, but I’m so happy to see him on top of his game. He is playing like the elite level goalie we acquired.

Enjoy this win - happy Halloween CP!
