Haha rough night with the baby, I obviously meant 22 and 23 picks in that deal. I am not sure anyone is offering two unprotected firsts and a top C prospect, + I think that buffalo has a LD spot they need to fill so Zads might not have negative value to them.

Friedman says it is quiet because those 2 teams are trying to get something done. They want to avoid a grievance.

What shame, I'm tired of Vegas already.
I hope Vegas's offer is so crazy we're "happy we didnt pay that much" but I've got this sinking feeling were all going to be asking ourselves why we didn't try harder.
I feel we could easily give up Monahan, 1st + prospects and be comfortable as a team still competitively.
But I also don't see Krebs as being insanely higher value than a Pelltier or Zary myself, I think Krebs is a highly overrated for what he's done thus far.

It's fine really. It means this year we have a great shot in the playoffs and can keep our picks and prospects. Maybe a smaller trade to grab a more talented top 6 rw is a better way forward.

Honestly if they don't get Eichel then they should be hard in on Tomas Hertl IMO.
Might make more sense for this teams contract structure long term anyways.

I am so tired of this approach. Swing for the fences, bring in a big ticket. Its a rare opportunity. If it doesnt work out, strip it down and go hard after a rebuild. Enough of the mediocrity.
Quit rolling over and letting the glitzy markets take every star player that comes available.

Not surprised Vegas is the front runner at this point. If the rumored player Shea Theodore is indeed the one going the other way, it's not even a contest. Maybe if Monahan and/or Valimaki were performing better, than it might make it a bit closer. But in all likelihood, this team is stuck with that $6M boat anchor contract for the rest of the season.
