I think you're right, you're in the minority.

I love the "middle six" vs. "top six" argument. Second line is both!

This one reminds me of all the games the Flames didn't show up in the first, the other team gets the early lead and then the Flames push and push and push and get nowhere.

I’m with you on this. I think he’s a fine 4th liner. And you know what?
Darryl likes him up the line up right now, and I am not going to disagree with that man right now on anything!

I'm open to the opinion but I need to see him on the bottom line to be sure.

The thing with Ritchie is he knows his role and thats what he does.

Its a bonus he has good speed and great size, too bad his hands arent where the rest of his game is, but he isnt a liability defensively, he is a tough SOB who will drop em when team mates are in trouble, and best of all is a league min. salary hit.

If people dont like him playing further up the lineup than they like, that is not on him, thats on Darryl. Pretty hard to be disagreeing with much of anything Sutter has done this far however. That will change at some point because every team, every year, has rough patches where things go sideways for a bit. When that happens.... changes will happen.

Until that time though? Just enjoy the wins!

Oh I didn’t think that was a minority opinion. I definitely agree.

It’s when he plays up the lineup that I’m frustrated.

Wow, totally forgot that the Flames played the Pens last night as I was pretty much getting ready for a big snow dump today. What a surprise - 4-0! The Flames sure did great on this road trip. Looks like everyone's chipping in. Great start to the season!

It was difficult reading through that and a nice reminder to myself why I don’t post on here, I sure would love to discuss but what’s the point of being ridiculed to such a severe degree over a hockey opinion? Who cares? I say take a deep breath, realize we’re all here trying to enjoy the same cause! It’s hockey and we’re all Flames fans and it’s not often our team gets off to such a nice start! When it comes to hockey, no one’s ever 100% correct, so let’s just enjoy these wins that we have won so far. GO FLAMES! .
Call me in the minority here but I ate the last 3 pages of this stuff up. It was like a slow motion car crash that I couldn't take my eyes off of. My wife is always watching these insane reality TV shows where all these woman are just straight-up yelling at each other about 'who's fake **** are bigger' or 'who slept with who's husband first' which I never understood. I have to admit this has given me some insight in terms entertainment value, at least somewhat.

The length of the pandemic is really starting to drive everyone mad I think.

I can't say it better than one of the all time great hockey interviews...

We all need to keep this in mind sometimes!

The funniest thing about the Kylington (and search for damning comments in history) conversation is how pointless it is.

It's not like the player is frozen in time and people missed who he was. He improved! That happens ... players get better, players get worse, players change.

Kylington played almost 40 games in back to back seasons and averaged 13+ minutes a night. He had opportunities.

But he's a different player now. He's matured. He's making less mistakes. Heck he's even staying on his feet now compared to his first full game this season when he fell down two or three times.

Moving his feet and doing less. Makes a huge difference.

Glad the Flames didn't lose him, and glad they seem to have the coach (coaches) in place to help develop him to his strengths.

But anyone that thought Kylington wasn't all that in the last three years isn't wrong now because he's playing better. He's improved.

(side bar ... it's allowed, free country, but I hate the search history to make someone look bad stuff ... seems wanky)

What is going on? Did my temporary insanity rub off on some of you? The Flames went into a building and slapped around a team that was on a roll and gave up zero goals in the process. What is there to complain about? AND it was the last game of a road trip.

I disagree. In some cases it's unwarranted, but when you have a poster being arrogant in the way they post like a know-it-all, it is sometimes nice to shove some humility down their throats. Maybe will cause them to rethink the next time they wanna put somebody else's opinion down.

The awesome part is you can actually see the growth happening if you look closely. For example, there was a moment last night where Kylington started skating the puck out of the d-zone. He took the first two strong steps and where in the past he would have buried his head and tried to skate the puck through everyone (and it even looks like he was about to try that), he instead picked his head up and head manned the puck.

It's a small thing but a huge thing in the context of his growth. Instead of having to dump the puck in with his teammates stopped at the blue or losing the puck in the neutral zone it turned into a decent zone entry.

Really cool to watch that IMO.
