Another great effort tonight.

If the Flames ever do lose Gaudreau, I am really going to miss watching him. That little chip to himself on the first goal tonight - to say nothing of the shot that followed - was just so, so good.

Vintage Johnny there. Doing things that seem impossible to the naked eye.

Sutter was right - good on Rasmus for playing out of position all night.

Gaudreau tied for fifth in league scoring now. He has been vintage Gaudreau so far this season. Smooth like silk every time he touches the puck.

He almost looks like Sergei Makarov....

To be fair, I didn't start this whole deal but I did pour copious amounts of salt on the wound.

I'm glad cooler heads prevailed. Last thing we need is yet another poster quitting CP because of me.

If you want my honest opinion, I put all the blame squarely on Bradley Treliving. He hires Sutter, who whips the boys into shape, thereby causing the Flames to win, which in turn leads Zamler to post that awesome gif and that other guy to repost it.

If we still have Geoff Ward behind the bench we for sure lose a whole bunch in a row, Zamler never posts the gif, that other guy never reposts it, I never get involved and we all go on living our lives like nothing happened.

It's like that movie Sliding Doors with Gwenyth Paltrow.

Boy the oilers sure are salty in their OOT thread.

"Some Oiler fans are such unbelievable hypocrites.

"Oh, the Oilers haven't had real tests, easy teams blah blah blah"

The Flames beat a completely depleted Penguins team and three terrible teams in New York, New Jersey and Detroit and suddenly we're walking the Cup right to their city hall.

Pathetic"

I am looking forward to Gaskal getting overworked this year. If the Flames keep winning 5 out of every 7 games, we’re going to have 58-59 wins, that’s 32-33 more wins than last season.

Speaking of which did I miss it already?

I love how Sutter always mentions to the press "all summer when you guys were picking the team", it just kills them.

Scanned the Pens forum. Won’t steal Gaskal’s thunder but they sure didn’t like the Looch goal. And at least one thinks the away unis of the Flames are gorgeous (he ain’t wrong).

How did we survive all these years without Sutter pressers?

I don't know how many points Gaudreau will get this season. I have a bet with a buddy that he will beat his previous best (so 100pts or more this season is what I am betting).

What I am pretty sure of is that he is going to make AC have to make a part 1 and a part 2 after the season is over.

Gaudreau is a monster when he is playing at pace - especially when the entire team is playing with that same pace. When the team isn't, that's when you see Gaudreau doing button hooks as he runs out of room and options. When the team is attacking with speed, that's when he finds guys and creates confusion in the D-zone. It is fun to watch. Gaudreau is very much a part of "Sutter Hockey".

I'm still upset he wasted 5 years with Gulutzan, Peters, Ward...and the inexplicably Ward again after he put a cold goalie who hadn't played for over 3 months into an elimination game while the team was reeling. He shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near an NHL bench again after that idiocy.

But anyways, GO SUTTER! Let's do this all season!
