This was actually a really close competitive game. Good on the Flames for pulling away in the third.
Imagine the Pens with that energy but also with Crosby, Malkin and Letang.

It’s funny how “big, bad, tough, old school” Sutter is the one who’s giving Kylington a fair shot over a 6’5 tough stay at home defenceman. Maybe he’s just a smart coach. He also made Bennett look good before he left. Makes me think if Sutter didn’t arrive, Kylington would’ve been Bennett 2.0.

I don't think he fully understood how to build a team to a certain identity until Sutter arrived. Now the Roster construction is much better.

I am wrong far more often than I am right. This is true at work, at home, and in front of a screen watching hockey.
But I have seen something special in Oliver Kylington since the day he was drafted. And I have stated that many times on this forum. And, to be clear, I'm not saying I was right. But, it's becoming clear that I really might have been right, and God damn it, that feels pretty good.

Yeesh, no one can ever say Mike Stone is anything other than a true professional. All he does is put in a solid performance every time he’s in the lineup, which isn’t very often. No pouting, no drama, just good effort and solid play. Hats off to that guy.

This team is becoming a group of professionals who put in a solid effort every night. Stone accepting his role, same can be said for Monahan accepting his spot in the lineup and working hard, the top line digging in defensively, the entire D corps adapting to partner changes, etc.
