Regardless it's one of those "good problems to have" I guess. Maybe we save some money on Chucky underperforming?
Chucky's QO is set in stone. They could not make it and hope he signs for less, but then he bolts to StL for the same dough.

I hope the Flames win tonight, but really, is it a big deal if they don't? I'm not sure anymore.
Sports is a pretty toxic entity overall (entity isn't the right word but I can't think of a better one). As fans, we shouldn't appreciate these people as good people as many are not. They are good at a fairly random skill that makes them entertaining.
But this is the type of thing that would cause me to stop being a fan of the team. If this was the Flames, and the franchise chose to keep people and players involved or those who ignored it, I would be done. Unless they cleaned house.

Must be tough for some Hawks fans today wrestling with these things.

Word you’re looking for is “culture” maybe?

He is averaging close to 17 minutes now in his last 4 games which I’m sure is the highest stretch in his career.

A wise and brilliant prime minister once said; 'People experience things differently'. I can respect your feelings as it's difficult when you find out people involved in an industry you are invested in are guilty of some really bad decision making that hurt some people. In the big picture bad things happen in all industries and all walks of life. Not saying we should accept it because it happens but there are a lot of really good people in the NHL as well that don't deserve to be thrown under the bus because of a few bad apples. People didn't stop watching movies after Harvey Weinstein was busted and that industry has a much, much darker history.

Burke talking about how it's a positive to have guys be given an opportunity up the lineup when there are injuries.

Wish we gave a certain someone that chance when Monahan couldn't even walk to his car let alone play professional hockey.

Gratuitous trade rumour from a pal in Boston: Tkahcuk and Monahan to TOR for Marner.

This is an easy way to compartmentalize it.

But I don't for one second believe that, in a scenario where nearly an entire executive team knew and did nothing, and an entire team knew and either ignored Beach or made homophobic comments towards him, that this is unique to just this team.

I'd like to believe the NHL has/had more guys like Torchetti and Vincent than Bowman, JQ, McDonough, Toews, and Keith... but I don't right now.

That's the great thing about discussions. We can all have different opinions. I think that there's far more good people in the league than bad but you are entitled to believe something different.

Calgary would have to throw in a couple of firsts. Marner is the third best player on the Mighty Leafs.

Your pal in Boston must be a leafs fan. They do that in a heartbeat.

I'm sure at this point TOR would take a draft pick to get him and his cap hit out of town.

- The lines are the way they are specifically because he wanted Dube down the middle
- Lots of room for improvement, PK, faceoffs, sticks
- makes a distinction between using four lines the way he has and rolling four lines GG style

My pal lives in Boston and heard from someone who supposedly has connections to the Bruins.

Grain of salt stuff.

Man, Burke's words about Calgary made me proud to be Calgarian.

Of the 6 NHL cities (some with significantly better climates), his best experience was in Calgary with the Flames. (Hmmm)

Great interview.
