Brad Aldrich is a sexual predator, who used his power/influence over a young man's hockey career to try to satisfy his sexual desires. Not unlike Graham James... and I am guessing with Brad there are many more people out there as this is never a once off situation with people like that.

I can't express how much it sickens me that Kyle Beach broke down and felt he needed to apologize to the victim from Michigan State, yet all these pieces of garbage involved with the Blackhawks at the time continue to deny knowledge and pass blame.

Any notion of some sort of a free pass or forgiveness given to these disgusting enablers goes right out the window with their current actions.

These people need to pay.

Punish the individuals actually involved
Management (and possibly ownership) was also involved. That is the TEAM's responsibility and they should pay.

Based on who knew, who likely knew, and the organizations this was reported to who did nothing, there is no way ownership didn't know.

Just a weird coincidence I’m sure.

Wow. I remember Kyle playing for Lethbridge and always wondered what had happened to him after he got drafted. Seemed like he had a bright future.

How on earth heads are not rolling across the board for this is beyond me. Absolutely disgusting.

I'm with Jiri. Strip the entire organization of everything.

Well lucky for ownership, they are the ones paying the investigators they hired.

That was extremely saddening to watch.

Brave guy, hope he gets justice from all of this.

One does wonder if TSN not being so strongly affiliated with the NHL allowed Westhead & others to do their thing.

I know at some point everyone was wondering why some of the bigwigs at the Athletic & Sportsnet weren't pushing his story.

Even the guys on CBC. All of us were screaming and yelling about this situation each time we got an update, and CBC wasn't really saying anything. Despicable.

Yup...

Honestly Joel Quenneville is about to get on an NHL bench any minute here and it just feels like nothing truly has changed here.

Pinder mentioned this on the FAN this morning that I found interesting.

Coyotes get fined $250,000 per violation, stripped of a 1st and 2nd round draft pick for getting a few prospects to do some physical testing at their facility.

The Devils get fined $3 million and stripped a 1st and a 3rd round draft pick for the Kovalcuhuk cap circumvention.

The Blackhawks get a $2 million fine and a few people are forced to step down. Even if they stripped the Blackhawks a few draft picks, that still isn't enough. This is bigger than the game, the NHL needs to step up here and do a lot more.

Well their own statement says that no playoff game of championship is more important than protecting players. I suppose they won't mind having it stricken from the record then.

If the Hawks were truly serious, Bowman would have been fired, not let resign.

Disgusting.
I think that's about the only thing that would make me feel somewhat good about the league again. What a disgusting example of the old boys club, it will be a long time before I could ever think of spending money on anything hockey related again

Probably won't happen, but I hope fans at every game - in every arena - chant "Fire Q" or "Fire Chevy." League-wide.

Maybe this isn't the right time to say this, but it's on my mind. I was looking up players I thought it might be before this came out, and looking up Kyle Beach, some of the articles written about him were vicious. Biggest bust in Blackhawks history, bad attitude, the Beach experiment needs to end, doesn't have what it takes to play in the NHL, etc.

I didn't think anything of it. But, learning that it was him and with those articles fresh in my mind, and hearing his stories, I can't help wonder if there's just something wrong with everything. The way hockey players are covered in the media, the way we talk about them as fans. We don't treat them like people. This was a kid who was a victim of sexual assault, and people were talking about him like he was disposable garbage.

I don't know what my point is, other than the fact that I feel upset about it, and it's just another thing Beach had to face quietly, and how awful that must have been.
