Interesting statement.....I've said the exact same thing about President Bush. I firmly believe there is a very large number of people who could give a rat's sphincter about the Iraqi people or colaition soldiers welfare. They just want to see Bush go down because they are consumed by some sick personal hate for the man.
I don't hate Michael Moore at all. I loved Canadian Bacon. But it is relevant if he lied because millions of people believe every word he says and every point he cleverly edits into his films.

People don't like Bush for actual reasons, not because of some irrational hatred. He's a terrible president who has made monumental, disastrous mistakes that will take decades to recover from.
I guess some people may hate him for something like the look on his face or his background, but for most people, his record is reason enough to want to see him go down.

How exactly does that refute what I said?

59 falsities in Farenheit 9/11 alone according to Dave Kopel.
This makes everything Moore says/does/writes come into question as tgo what is true and what is not...dont you think?

Well zero bias is kind of an impossiblity, but I get what you are saying. I found that Dave Kopel article here. That is what I was looking for, something that said here are the lies.

I don't know. I guess it doesn't. I translated "a very large number" into "the majority". I could be wrong.
I'll argee then there is a large number of people that have an irrational hatred for the man, but there is a much larger group of people that want to see him go down because he's been so terrible at his job.

He has done a terrible job, especially in the last two years.
Right from the start though there were people saying he made Hitler look like Santa Claus and other ridiculous metaphorical descriptions. I've never seen the venom and hatred for a public figure as I have for this guy.

I'll probably dismiss the claims against him out of hand like a lot of people did against him.

Ha ha, yeah, fair enough. Some people were pretty passionate about the guy before he even got the gig.
I never was one for his politics, but he was a drunken, drug addled slacker when he was my age -- in other words, my kind of guy. So I could never really hate him.

Too funny. This place wouldn't be the same without you.

Exactly what I wanted to see too.
That's my whole point. 95% of Moore bashers do so without saying anything about his actual work. They say things like "he's a liar" and "His influence is too strong on our youth" or "our planet would be better off without him"
Why not attack him with some substance? Hopefully this movie does that, and doesn't just use cheap 1 liners like most of the posters here.

He himself calls people liars. So posters on a small website should be held to a higher standard than a guy that makes mockumentaries that millions of people see?
OK then...makes a lot of sense.

Ah, gotcha.
I think more important than the lies and half truths that he spreads is the fact that he deliberately leads people into blaming others for what's wrong with the world today. After watching Bowling for Columbine, (which, granted, it's been quite a while so I may not remember it all,) I was led to believe that the deaths of all those innocents was a result of poor gun laws and easy access to weaponry. Really? Is that what it was? Moore's intent on blaming the government for as much as he can which deflects responsibility. It's a way for Americans to feel good about themselves... they are free to blame the government for what's wrong, it has nothing to do with their own action or inaction.

Like 80% of the questions he asks are loaded.
I love it that they turned the tables on him.

No, they should complain about him and then act in a standard lower.

My opinion.
The thing I like about Moore is that he attacks worthy subjects. Does he twist the facts? Sure he does and he shouldn't but on the other side of the coin we have Fox news, big business and the neo cons. Do they attack worthy subjects? No, and then they lie about it.
